Good observation!

I haven’t been very active on here lately so I was surprised when I did a quick check for Jack’s obituary and didn’t see it posted. Here it is and I have a question about it. He was found on October 31, 2021; however, his date of death is listed as October 29, 2021. Find a grave also has this same date of death. Why would that be his date of death? Why not when he first went missing or the date he was found? Any speculation?

I don't have any speculation about this specific case, but in the case of missing people who are later found deceased, I've seen a wide variety of choices for date of death. Some families choose to use the date the person disappeared, some families use the date the remains were found, or there might be an official date of death on the death certificate, or in longer-term missing cases (wouldn't apply here) they'll use the date they had the person legally declared deceased. Sometimes there's a date from the investigation.

First time reading about this case. As always thank you to those that keep a thread alive. I'm really interested how this story plays out. Seems cut n dry but as someone up thread said the longer players are missing the harder it is to figure out. Holding out hope the mother is still alive. I can't imagine being so worried about my son that I have to go out and search for him.

It's common when LE believe bodies may be buried on the property. If I remember correctly, Grimes had more land than just the yard around his home. He had employees who worked on his property, too. I'm surprised it took this long, however.

I hope this means LE has a POI now.

Remains found in Tulsa:

I saw that but it didn't occur to me it might be Selby or Parton. Time frame might be right.

Thanks for bringing it over.

Here is a map of where JG was found compared to where this body was found. Mohawk Park can also be seen, which is where JG’s car was found. Sadly, it’s not too uncommon to hear of a body found in North Tulsa.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office reported the search Thursday yielded no significant leads, and they're asking anyone who may have seen anyone leaving the areas where the cars were found of where Grimes's remains were found to come forward. They'd also like to talk to anyone who might have surveillance or trail cams in those areas.
