I know the LE speaking at press conference said they had searched cars, I didn’t hear him say anything about going door to door. He did say they had done a grid search.

I’m gonna bet they were on foot. I don’t see how she could have done anything with them without being noticed, someone else’s help , without a vehicle.

If she was passed out from drugs- did she trade kids for drugs? Something is missing. They’ve searched the water. Did they search the creek nearby? Dang Oklahoma! This sucks for kids here this weekend.

So grandpa got in a fight with the mom and left. Leaving the kids. She wasn’t supposed to even be with them. Therefore it’s possible she’s already been proven by court to be unfit . I’m in Kansas but the law here is if I were to leave my grandson or even my own minor child both of whom I have custody of , with my oldest daughter my grandsons mother. It’s considered child neglect because I left them with someone declared unfit. So if i were irresponsible enough to do that and anything period happened no matter minor or major. I would be the one charged with neglect because I left them with someone declared legally unfit. So here it’s really serious on the part of the guardian, my daughter could be watching her son ( I wouldn’t let it happen ) and if he were to wonder off or be harmed worst yet killed. I could even be charged with involuntary manslaughter. While my daughter would most likely not be charged. Because the court already has her declared unfit so she’s not suppose be with minors. So a lawyer would easily get her off because we already knew she wasn’t fit to be responsible so it falls back on the neglect of the guardian leaving them. I only know this in such detail because it was drilled in my dh head and mine that we couldn’t feel sorry or bad for our daughter and let her have or see her child alone for even A minute. Our lawyer made sure we understood that if she were declared unfit this was protocol. Even though we didn’t think that she would be declared that we had to know going in that it rarely happens but if a unfit judgment came on her, we needed to understand what it meant for us. So when it did happen we were glad to already know what it meant for us. It’s also in the paper work we got later. however she doesn’t come around anyway.

and I have no idea if this mother was declared unfit but by saying the mother wasn’t supposed to have them makes me wonder. Also Kansas last isnt OK . However if there’s a such a law there , grandpa rushing out to get away from the drama possibly without even thinking clearly in the moment , could end up the one paying for what happens to these kids. In more wAys then just mentally.
LE said in press conference that the SISTER had custody. Not sure why the grandpa was involved at all. He wouldn’t be charged, but maybe sister.

I just listened to the video. My short summary.

Miracle is almost 4
Tony is two.
Last sighting of kids is at convenience store. (8 something am Friday, I believe)
Video is infrequent in the area.
Mom in custody and not cooperating
Sister had custody
Bio dad in custody of another law jurisdiction. LE pretty confident his family doesn’t have kids.
In the past the kids have been seen around the ponds and retention areas. Nothing other than that and the fact that kids are attracted to water is why they are searching there.
Complicated search. Need the public’s help. Asked if anyone saw kids in area to notify them.
They first responded Friday night at 8 pm.
He says kids could not survive 24 hours outside.
He seemed to indicate grandfather indicating he saw kids after convenience store can’t be trusted. Then expressed how complicated case is.
They have exhausted their efforts.
They have completed a grid search, searched cars.
(I didn’t hear dogs) I sure hope they didn’t miss a trunk.
Someone asked about video outside the convenience store and he didn’t acknowledge that specifically.
New detectives coming on and going back thru to make sure they covers all bases and didn’t miss anything.

I wonder why he doesn’t worry about her just giving or selling the kids? His only options were dead or on someone’s sofa.

edited—- I guess that wasn’t “short” -sorry

I haven't watched the press conference, can someone fill me in - is it mom's (Donisha) sister who has custody? Kids' aunt? Thanks.
I linked my summary of it in quote above. Yes it’s the mom’s sister who has custody, the aunt of kids.

ACTIVE SEARCH - OK - Girl, 14, dad gets text threats demanding money, Tulsa, 24 May 2020

I can’t imagine they would be asleep on someone’s couch and those people haven’t realized that they would be missing from somewhere and call the police straight away. I hope it’s true, but in my opinion it would be unusual for people to just take children in and not realize that they must belong to someone.

That was exactly my first thought, too, but then I thought maybe he meant the mother left the kids with a friend (or not a friend) and that person doesn't realize the kids are being looked for. That person might not think anything of caring for the children because it was their mother who left them. I am not saying I believe that, but it's one way to interpret the statement.

Ok this is interesting. Frustrating reporting. This story talks about a man being robbed/ car jacked on Saturday night. I listened to it and ironically it says police were called to shoreline apartments Saturday night , which is where this case is based. The story mentions Mingo apartments too. I wonder if there could be any connection.
Tulsa Police Searching For 2 Men Accused Of Stealing A Car At Gunpoint
According to police the victim says two men that he knows flagged him down and asked for a ride to the Mingo Manor Apartments and he agreed to take them. When they arrived police say the man in the back seat took out a gun and the two men demanded the victim empty his pockets. Police say the men stole the victim's wallet and his car.

If he knows them, why don’t they have names?

Did they say

where the gpa seen them last?
Yes, In the apartment. Although at the presser yesterday LE said the last sighting was at the convenience store and discounted the grandpas report. Then went into saying something about many difficulties with the case. I don’t think they are believing grandpa.

Following along quietly, but was really hoping in the beginning that the mom had taken the children and was hiding them because of not having custody of them. However, of course I read along further and it's not the case. Hoping and praying they are found safely, but I don't have a good feeling about it. Way too many teens and children missing lately.

edit:
noon update from today saying they are checking cars, etc.
