If memory serves me correct, one was shot once and the other twice. My guess is that the one shot once was shot first because it was a surprise and it was aimed right at the heart. The other attempted to flee and that is why it took two shots. I think the killer was a travel companion or a fellow transient who's path they crossed. Possibly Angel Racendiz.

I was under the impression both were shot in the chest. If the other was fleeing that would indicate being shot in the back, right?

I envision quick shots. Not sure where the bullets entered.

I have always considered Angel Resindez a suspect because of the proximity to the railroad tracks. I did some reading on him and found out he was arrested at a train yard in 1995 for trespassing and carrying a gun. I emailed the Santa Fe PD asking if they could tell me what kind of gun. If its a 38, I will almost be certain that he killed them. It still would leave many questions but it would be a start!

The TW that was inscribed on the ring were not initials. It was the makers mark, which I traced back to a company called Tessier & Weiss. Maybe these rings were put on the victims to throw off LE.

From the NamUs link for the male:

https://identifyus.org/cases/5170?page=case_information

Jewelry
" A) Ring on the fourth finger of the left hand, yellow metal band, and the inside is inscribed with "14 K" and the letters "TW" within a circle."

Perhaps the letters TW within a circle correlates to this company, as their Hallmark-Maker's Mark, as it shows a diagram of TW within a circle:

http://www.trademarkia.com/tw-71595570.html

"On Tuesday, April 11, 1950, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for TW by TESSLER & WEISS, INC., UNION, NJ 07083. "

Here is their website:

I put in a zipcode for Tulsa, Ok. and within 50 miles there are stores that are authorized dealers
for Camelot Bridal Retailers.
Now whether these stores were in existence in 1995 or previous to 1995, I haven't checked them out, so I don't know...
There are several stores listed, and I listed these 2 as they aren't too, too far away from where the couple was found...
There is a store in Henryetta and in Muskogee. Just a guess incase this couple was
from around this area...

ETA:
The store in Henryetta has been in business since 1953.
I don't know about the other store...
Speculating... just throwing out ideas...

Bringing my post forward from a couple of years back that has a link to Tessler and Weiss for the makers mark on the ring.

You mean Tessler and Weiss, not Tessier?

Not sure if she has been brought up before (I'm only a few pages into reading this thread) but...

Lorraine Migl Light- missing since 1989
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1102dftx.html

The circumstances of her disappearance are kind of weird, but if she did meet someone, go to Mexico, and get into a troublesome lifestyle, maybe it's possible.

The weights are off, but a lot can happen in six years.

Someone on another thread mentioned Martha Dunn
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/dunn_martha.html
as a possible for numberous UIDs in the 90's. After reading her story and finding out that her boyfriend disappeared and there are ties to Oklahoma, it reminded me of this case.

I can't find a picture of the boyfriend (Eric Owens), but Martha does appear to look similar (cheek bones, height, wavy hair). The weight is way off, but five years could change that.

It does mention she had scars on her face from a childhood injury, but If the UID was unrecognizable as stated on NAMUS, then maybe it's possible.

Thank you! I was going to mention Dunn in this thread. When I saw Dunn was supposedly/reported to be running away/seen with her boyfriend in Oklahoma. I thought they could be a match. Maybe they had been lying low in Oklahoma for 5 years, got older, got married, and somehow landed into trouble and ended up murdered as these UIDs.

Exactly what I was thinking when I read that as well! Wish I could le find a picture of him.

TW stands for "total weight" and is common on all precious metal jewelry. Very unlikely that it belongs to a specific jewelry. The engraving reads "14K TW" to say fourteen karat gold total weight.

I took it to mean "14K" and "TW" was in a circle,on the yellow band, hence the makers mark. Total weight to me would be a piece of jewelry with stones. Just my opinion. Tessler and Weiss makers mark is a TW in a circle.

I looked through the Daingerfield High, Texas yearbooks from 1986-1991 on classmates and I couldn't find either Dunn or Owens. I guess they had dropped out of school before high school?

That's an Eric Owens with ties to Oklahoma and Kansas. Age fits timeline.

Could there have been more than one person involved? Were they killed at the location they were found?

It was speculated they were shot and then drug about 50 yards to where they were found.

His shirt seems outdated for 95. I remember Ocean Pacific being in style in the 80's. Maybe it was in style in other areas of the country/world. Does anyone remember?
