TA and the members of God’s Misfits thinking their hate was enough to justify murdering VB and JK is audacious. It doesn’t matter if they hate VB or not, they still had to respect VB’s and JK’s right to live and be safe. They still had to respect VB’s rights to fight for unification and time with her children and the court mandates. They still had to respect JK’a role in supervising the visits whether they like with them or not. They still had to respect both women’s right to return home safe and sound without harassment, violence or threats from those that oppose them.
They said they committed these horrific crimes to protect TA’s grandkids when they caused irreversible and devastating harm to both them and JK’s children as well. God’s Misfits are not God. They can never bring VB and JK back. How do they expect children to react when they learn that a beloved parent is gone? How will they react when they are older and learn of the brutal way their own flesh and blood was murdered and discarded by those who can neither respect them or the law? TA treated her grandkids like property by dehumanizing their needs, now and in the future, to prioritize her ego’s need for power, control and submission. Yet somehow, despite her mentality and actions, she thought she knew better than the court and VB about who was a better fit to be a caregiver.
TA and her co-conspirators had a choice but it seems they got high off their own sense of self-righteousness, power and group identity. Rather than cope with their hate and find the least drastic and damaging solutions for TA to share custody with VB thereby fostering a healthy relationship long-term benefits for everyone involved, including JK, they chose to organize the vicious murders of two women and cause surmountable suffering and trauma to their families, children, loved ones and communities.
Funny though how they felt like they were in the right to commit these murders but yet didn’t want to be held accountable or answer for what they had done in court. If they think they did nothing wrong then why not be upfront about what they had done? Why not show the court the same pride they showed Cora’s daughter after the day of? Why hide the evidence if you don’t have anything to be ashamed of? I guess a part of themselves recognized that for all the power and control they thought they held as Sovereign Citizens who could unabashedly resorted to violence to supposedly protect their interests, they didn’t have enough of it to get the OBI off them, to avoid time in prison or to not be made face the public and the victim’s family members and representatives in court.
