Why didn't he call in some help, when he was found and taken to a warm place to sleep? He could have called 911 and said his gf was missing in the woods.
He's waiting until she's too decomposed for there to be a determined cause of death .
Then he'll say she just got lost and it's not his fault. or some other story blaming her.
This is how it's looking. :(

Probably this one. MOO

Where is Allyson Watterson? 20-year-old Oregon woman vanished 5 days ago
Search and rescue teams are combing the North Plains area northwest of Portland, Oregon, searching for a 20-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen since December 22.

Police have arrested Garland on unrelated charges, including a stolen truck found in the area, and have given no indication about what he is saying about Watterson’s whereabouts.

The search for Watterson had entailed about 100 people — roughly half of them volunteers — until Thursday, when search commander Deputy Tony Morris said new information meant they would narrow the search focus and use only professional search teams, KOIN reported.

are we sure that's not a driver's license photo?
If it's a booking photo taken when he was arrested, was he high or what?
the meth thing disturbs me, can render people crazy and impulsively violent.
I've never been allowed to smile for my driver's license photo. I assume it's the same in other states as well. Though I find it difficult to believe they would allow someone to smile for a mug shot.

Among the search teams today were members of Multnomah Co., Clackamas Co., Pacific NW SAR, Mountain Wave SAR, dog teams from Mountain Wave - roughly 50 people.

They have not found Allyson.

The decision has been made to suspend active searching. They don't have anything else that is pointing them toward an area to search.

It's definitely a booking photo from Washington County Sheriffs Office, which was the arresting agency. Although it could be from one of his previous arrest.
