Yesterday, officers utilized our Major Crash Team drone to survey green spaces near Village Green Park. Officers and investigators also followed up on over fifty tips we have received and more tips are still coming in. These tips are important to our efforts in finding Ava, and we thank the community for calling and emailing those tips in.

To assist with our reception and processing of these tips, we have established a tip line, which is staffed 24 hours a day, and can be reached by calling our Dispatch center at 541-766-6911.

As the investigation continues, we are continuing our work with the assistance of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, and the Benton County District Attorney’s Office.

Information gone over in the briefing:
  • Ava did not return home from a walk to the Village Green Park in the NE area of town
  • Last seen wearing blue jeans, black t-shirt, running shoes. 5'6, 107 pounds. Dyed reddish/auburn hair that is shaved on one side.

  • Has a DIY tattoo on her calf of a little planet.
  • 541-766-6911 is the tip line for Ava Carey. No tip is too small.
  • They want people with Ring doorbells in the area of the park to contact the tip line so the cops can come out and collect footage from the time Ava disappeared.

Everyone in the town and LE seems to be taking this very seriously and urgent... Worrisome that it doesn’t seem like they have much to go on yet.

TY for the transcript! Just a couple of other points that may be important:
  • Not a major discrepancy but Chief Hurley says and the "flyer" at the end of the vid shows Ava is 16-y-o.
  • also wearing a "fisherman style cap"
  • Village Green Park is in the NE area of town
