Missing Corvallis teen Ava Carey found safe
CORVALLIS, Ore.-- Nine days after disappearing from near her Corvallis home, 16-year-old Ava Carey has been found, police said Saturday.

The Corvallis Police Department said that Carey was located in a neighboring state and is safe.

"The Carey family will have never-ending gratitude for the Corvallis Police Department and all of their tireless work in the recovery of Ava. We cannot express our gratitude enough to the community of Corvallis, we have been blown away by the generosity. Everything was a team effort, and it worked. We ask that our family please be given privacy while we heal from this ordeal."

I’m SOOOO happy that she was found safe! This one had all the makings of a truly tragic ending. I bet her parents keep pinching themselves to make sure it’s real. I’m so happy for a GOOD outcome for a change!
