I submitted the first one as of December 2, 2023. Still waiting to hear back. I have not submitted the Arizona doe, as my search for matches has been primarily focused in Oregon and California. Will check it out though.
Thank you for subduing the first Jane Doe! and about the Jane Doe from Arizona, her reconstruction looks like Cindy. What do you think?

I haven’t seen this one mentioned. Maybe she went north to Washington instead of south to LA. The location where this person was found is 6 hours north of grants pass.

Ah ok got it. So she was last seen by family in GP, but given her history of running off to LA, naturally they thought there was a chance that she had done it again.

Did anything ever pan out wrt the person who claims to have first hand knowledge about Cindy’s disappearance? Is the story at least consistent with what is known? Do her family members know the people who were supposed witnesses to her murder?
Did “the person who claimed to have first hand knowledge” claim that whatever happened to Cindy happened in Oregon, or in Los Angeles?

Here is the post with the details:

OK, Unexpected update, but I'm working on verifying this information more solidly so I may be a little vague until then.
I made contact with a person who was younger than Cindy at the time of her vanishing and claims to have been present when Cindy was killed.
This individual told me a rather distressing story in as much detail as they were able, including giving a possible location for Cindy's body on a property in rural Grants Pass.
Apparently, they also told this to JCSO detectives around 2009, when the sheriff's department was going through some financial struggles and were able to do nothing with the information at hand. At least one of the people this individual claims was involved in her death has passed away since then. The second individual who may have simply been present and not directly responsible for her death may still be alive.

To add insult to injury here, the deputy who this person spoke with back in 2009 was fired sometime in the early 2010s for drunken insubordination and espousing conspiracy theories (see attached article) so I'm not even certain if anything with his name attached to it would be given a thorough glance by current LE.

Guess this means I've got to determine who owns the property CIndy could be on, contact them, get a hold of the Sheriff's department somehow to see if they're willing to go over the file again and re-open the case..... anyone have any ideas on how to go about doing all of this?

Update- I have confirmed through family that Cindy was the product of a union between the mother listed in the report, Joy, and James C King. So we can at least rest assured that the DNA on file is accurate.
The conversation with Cindy's family also yielded some interesting insight. Cindy was a bit of a chronic runaway, but always stayed in contact with family, and even wrote her mother a letter (that was filled with what her mother wanted to hear, like that she was in school and doing well) from the LA area before she vanished.

The family was not abusive, but the upbringing was slightly unstable. The family moved around but Grants Pass was always "home base."
Cindy was also in need of extra nutrition as an infant. The tattoo is still widely unknown and it's presumed she got it in the Los Angeles area. The arm being broken twice? Accidental, just the result of her being a rambunctious and kind of klutzy child.

My heart genuinely goes out to this family y'all, we've got to keep the light on for Cindy.
@ALightForEricka, you wrote that Cindy “even wrote her mother a letter (that was filled with what her mother wanted to hear)..”

Which mother? Her non-bio mother Martha who James had divorced for desertion in 1962, or her bio mother Joy who lived nearby and had divorced her husband within weeks of James and Martha’s divorce?

And (from post #56): “by the time Cindy disappeared her parents and siblings were no longer in Grants Pass”. Which parents? I assume Joy and James. This seems to be contradicted in post #57..

Post #57 seems to indicate that (para): the sister, brother and mother that Cindy lived with, lived in Grants Pass at the time of her disappearance.

Again, which sister, brother and mother (James’ kids? (I guess those who didn’t go with Martha?)?, or Joy’s kids? (a girl and a boy, the boy possibly a half/step brother?). Did James leave his new family (Joy) and head to Ohio? (sorry, just very confused)

If OP meant Joy’s kids, was the sister (and perhaps step/half) brother ever asked what they thought might’ve happened to Cindy? Since James and Joy got married, why is James not mentioned when OP mentions the “family” still living in Grants Pass (“brother, sister and mother still living in Grants Pass”)?

What were Joy’s other kid’s ( the sister and step brother’s ages (compared to Cindy)? Sounds like the sister was approx a year older. How old was the step/half brother at time of Cindy’s disappearance?

What ever happened to Joy’s ex? Did he continue to live very close by to where James and Martha (and Cindy) had lived before they divorced (I guess, before Martha “deserted” James)?

If (IF) Cindy then lived with her uncle (and I assume her aunt - the uncle’s wife?), why didn’t they also report her missing?

So… Joy (Cindy’s bio mother) supposedly reported Cindy missing in ‘77. I guess this would have been a few months after James’ brother died. But I guess Joy never continued to follow up, as according to LE she wasn’t reported missing by Joy until 10 years later?

I noticed that James’ brother and his (James’ brother’s) wife are buried in OR, but apparently they had been living in TN?
And from what I can tell, they had no children, is that correct?

Surely if James’ brother and his wife lived in the Grants Pass area (before moving to Tenn?) for any appreciable length of time after 1962, and given that Cindy disappeared in ‘77, what did they say they thought happened to her?

Sorry so many questions. I probably should pick another case..
