The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a motorhome as authorities investigate the disappearance of a 68-year-old grandmother from Prospect, authorities said late Friday night.

A news release said the search for the motorhome identified in sheriff's office pictures is possibly related to the disappearance of Deenah Padgett, who has been missing since Aug. 30.

Read the full article, this is very concerning. Apparently, the boyfriend didn't report Deenah missing until Sept 8. I hope that Deenah is safe, but where could she be?

Prospect has a population of less than 500 people.

I don't understand why the story on the missing flyer: "she went camping with her caregiver, when she came back to camp, she was gone" doesn't seem to align at all with the family's story in the R-V Times article above.

I know, it's confusing. The flyer also has the missing date of 8/30, and the article states that Deenah was last seen in early August.

The flyer has been updated to correct that she was with her boyfriend

Oh my goodnesss, you said it - very concerning. :(

From the links:

Padgett said her mother reported not feeling safe when they last spoke, around Aug. 10, and had been staying with some “people who weren’t real trustworthy.”

“We've recently learned that the people she was staying with have been stealing from her for many months. Her belongings have been found abandoned in the woods. We’re really worried,” Hancock told the Times on Wednesday.

Lengthy article

OCT 23, 2024
Jackson County Search and Rescue Cmdr. Sgt. Shawn Richards, who said search and rescue crews have conducted at least 10 searches for Padgett, said he is hopeful that residents of Prospect will more readily share information with fellow community members than they have with law enforcement.

A handful of community members organized in recent weeks to search wooded areas and Padgett’s daughter, Alabama resident BH, traveled to Oregon to aid in a search last month.

Richards confirmed that Padgett’s boyfriend, who has not been publicly named, reported leaving Padgett at the campsite to go to work. When he returned later that day, she had left the campsite, which the boyfriend presumed was to return to her family on the East Coast.

So his first thought was she left to go back to family? Not she possibly went for a walk or headed to town, etc?
IMO, just up & leaving to return to the East Coast without telling her boyfriend wouldn’t be my first guess.
