Nada, nothing... I've been watching arrest and searching for forums. Can't even speculate. Very silent and seems odd to me. One thing I have found is Mears has a myspace too. He also goes by the name of 2ND2NONE & crazy_loc? ... here's a link.

More in that article:

* her dad talked to her on the phone at 11 a.m.Tuesday (“Everything was going good for her,”)
* her dad tried to catch her Tuesday eve as he was driving home from a night class, he got no answer
* her dad tried calling her on Wednesday

Her dad called the Sheriff Wed. evening.

Heather was found deceased in her home on Thursday.

So did her dad just miss her for those phone calls? What does the autopsy say about possible time of death. Anyone finding anything?

Okay...so her ex texted her on Wednesday, she didn't respond (guess they kept in touch, though they hadn't for a few months.) He thought it was “very unusual” that she didn't respond.

Kinda looks like something happened maybe Tuesday or Wednesday -- so where was her roommate? Where is he?

Hmmmmm, The ex-hubby texting her on the day she might have died {after no contact for several months} !!! Is that COINKYDINK or what?

Very convenient :)

I'm going with the idea that it doesn't extend to their own lives because there is no such thing as a psychic, and errors involving yourself would therefore be difficult to explain otherwise.

Thank goodness that is just your opinion. Have you read about Laurie McQuary who is also from Oregon?

I'd looked at SM's Myspace last week and I don't remember the one friend with the initials SM, a young woman with a blonde braid. Hmmm. She must have been there as she sent him a comment on July 24th.

Being that SM had not been in town long before he was arrested, I'm wondering how well this girl knows him. I hope she knows of his arrest. I'm not saying he's a bad man. I don't know. I do wonder why he would have left an ER tech job down in California to move to a very economically depressed area of Oregon. I just think that everyone needs to be cautious until they figure this murder out. SM used Heather's card for some purpose.

Why no COD or autopsy report??

Sorry guys, I did get your messages asking for details on Heather's services, but it seems the only way I can reply to them is to post it to your public wall. No good. I will share the details privately only.

UPDATE: I think I got it figured out and sent the details to those who requested.

I know you guys are a think tank of sorts, so I'll set you straight on a couple items here so you can get on the right path... I am Heather's ex-husband, Michael... Her and I were long term friends, been friends for 23 years... It is heart breaking what happened to Heather and I will never forgive whoever did this...

First off, Yes I did text her on Wed... I had not talked to Heather in a couple months so I sent her a little message asking how she was doing. Even though she was my ex-wife, we were still close friends... The reason she was my ex was we wanted different things out of life. I wanted children, she did not.

Moonlightpath.com at first was a site where she sold goods, kinda like an AmWay thing. She got the name from some lotion she bought from a Bed, Bath , Beyond called Moon Light Path. The name had no special meaning, she just liked it. After no luck selling stuff, we split the site in half for our family tree's... After we broke up, I moved my site to a new location and she changed what was left to her site. I helped her a bit with it, but she then moved to Vegas and it was all her work. I took over her site and changed the pages, because the family did not want people to buy items just to figure out how to refund their money...

The Carpet Cleaning business she ran with my brother in Vegas was called A Sharp because he is a musician... Therefor the name... That name came along well before she moved out to Vegas to help him... He sold the business off...

Yes, she loved dogs... Sheppard mixes were not anything special for her, matter of fact, every dog we had was a stray that we took in...

I want the person who did this found! It was very hard for me, my brother, a family friend and her father to drive up to Oregon to pack up her belongings... So many tears were cried with each object we packed that had a special memory attached...

I will answer question for you all as long as they do not interfere with the case...

Oh, my handle only71stitches is because I have a history of getting hurt, plus I was born in 71... It just seemed like a good name when I came up with it some 20 years ago. Heather's handle, Coldheart came from a comic strip I used to write... The main characters name was Zachery C Heart... Heather liked the name and took it as her own about 20 years ago as well... No other reason...

Welcome and thank you for joining us! How very interesting to hear the story behind some of the things we have been wondering about. Heather really seemed like such a great person and I offer you and her family my sincere condolences. Thank you so much for taking the time to come here and speak with us.

Thanks, Michael, for setting us straight on a few points. It was extremely gracious of you to spend the time, at this time. Please accept my condolences for this tragic loss. I can't imagine the pain of packing all those personal belongings, but was extremely gratified to find that someone (LB) was able to take Louie in. It's not hard to imagine that you and Heather remained friends all these years; I didn't know you well in school, but you seemed like a decent person. Rest assured that there are always going to be a lot of eyes on this situation until it comes to a resolution. Peace be with you.

Welcome Michael. I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. From all we've learned, Heather seem kind-hearted, welcoming, and spirited. I've taken an interest in this case as I live in Ashland and have traveled through Roseburg hundreds of times. Her interest in following the Wiccan path is SO tremendously contrary to how she died that it frightens me.

You've answered many questions and that is really kind of you. One question remaining for me is the connection she had with the Keen site where she offered "email readings". It seems a bit worrisome to me that, even on the review page, she seems so open. She gave her real first name, her email address, and there's that lovely photo of her. Is there any possibility that she gave out too much info in a reading to an evil person? I've even wondered if someone became obsessed with her as she was so pretty and kind.

In reading back over all our posts, I truly hope you don't take offense at anything that was said. We cast about for anything and everything while trying to make sense of the unthinkable. I know that I've mentioned growing and/or selling cannabis and prostitution. I meant no disrespect whatsoever but was looking at every possibility. I've lived on the I-5 corridor and know many people who are Pagan and Wiccan. I also know many people who hold MM cards and I've been personally touched by a special needs daughter being trafficked on I-5. That is why I've brought up these issues. Please accept my apologies if any of us have been way off base. As we've worked on this case, we've started to get a better grip on just who Heather was and who she was not.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to check in with us. By the way, I love your screen name. I have a son who would probably give you a run for your money and another who cut his finger off last week. I have 9 sons so I do know about stitches.

Prayers and strong thoughts to your and you and Heather's family. And, if you get a moment, can you let us know if Louie is well and being cared for. Many, if not most of us here, are animal lovers. We know he must grieve Heather's death as well.

Missizzy, Thanks for the kind words... I take no offence to anything that has been said, I know after reading all the posts here that you all are just tossing out ideas...

Now as far as her connection to Keen, I've got nothing... I had no idea about keen until after she died and I got into her email accounts... I was able to access her keen account and set her status to away, but no one from keen has contacted me back as how to refund peoples money... It is possible that someone got to her through keen... She was a very trusting, kind person, but from the Heather I know, I don't see her inviting a stranger into her home... Or a stranger getting past her dog Louie...

Speaking of Louie, he is safe and in very good hands with great long time friend... I do have to say, you can see pain in Louie's eyes... The whole time we were in Green packing Heather's belongings, that dog sat in the back seat of Heather's truck... He is the only witness to what happened and I wish there was a way to get that information out of him...

Thank you, Michael, for letting us know that Louie is being cared for. I have no doubt he wishes that he could tell his terrible secrets.

The final review on Keen really bothers me. I'm surprised that this site does not let their customers know about this tragedy. Heather was well reviewed and whether or not one believes in "readings", she seemed to have a positive impact on almost all those who used her gifts.

We also wondered why there wasn't a tribute or memorial in Green or Roseburg for Heather. Was she just not in town long enough? I would have thought that she'd been making friends with others of similar interest at some of the shops.

Please visit the site below for what will likely be the most up to date information at any given time. And thanks to everyone of you for every last second of effort spent. You are all appreciated!

Remember Heather Thompson

I have to ask why it is of importance to mention that Heather's friend, Sam, is of color? Black men in Southern and Central Oregon have long experienced serious prejudice--except with a few enclaves of safety. I'm concerned that other black men in the Roseburg area might be targeted. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to many of my sons, who happen to be black.

Just a thought.

Missizzy, Is it possible you may be more sensitive to the mention of race since it's hit closer to home for you in the past? See, on the other hand, if it was not mentioned, that could be also be construed to mean that the detail was hidden for some reason.

I don't feel the intent here is malicious; just a simple statement of fact that would have been included whether Sam was white, black, red or yellow -- so to speak. There were no disparaging remarks made; quite the opposite, in fact (help Heather, look for work, a new beginning). While I feel for you on this, it does seem appropriate to me to include the information as a simple statement of fact. This is just my own .02 and I don't speak for the author of the site, of course.

Every little piece of detail counts... I'm with Alar on this... SM did go up there with good intentions... I would just like to know what happened... I really wish I could share the details of the crime with you all, but I don't want to get in the way of whatever the detectives up in Oregon are working on...

Thanks only71stitches. Totally understandable that you're unable to provide all the details at this time; I'd feel the same in your shoes in not wanting to get in the way of the formal investigation. Just your making an appearance here and sharing what you have has been quite helpful in answering many questions that were tossed around. Props to your efforts on behalf of Heather.

I met Heather on Keen-she did readings for me and then suggested we talk on the phone as friends... and we became friends-we talked or texted just about every day from January -August 3rd--we were both going through life changes and transitions-we were there to support each other and listen.
I got off the phone with her at 1pm that day-she was going to do her homework and not leave until it was done and then go into town to see her friends.
Keen was a way to earn income and grow her psychic abilities-as was e-bay and her own website. She did not give out her address to any of her customers..we specifically spoke about that. I was the only customer that she became phone friends with. She didn't drink or do drugs, she was devoted to her family including her ex's family and her dog and of course her friends. She was a wonderful woman with a huge heart and was in the middle of making changes in her life and had her ups and downs like us all. She did talk to people on the dating sites and made it clear that she only was there for friendship. What happened to her that day was a complete surprise to her I am sure. She was expecting no visitors.

Thank you for posting, dcc66, and welcome. As you have seen, we are all trying very hard to figure out what happened to Heather. This was a shocking and senseless murder and I am so hopeful that it is solved in short order.

I have to ask if you've contacted the Roseburg Police about your information. No doubt they would be very interested in the details of your conversation with Heather, that fateful day. I am so sorry that you lost a friend. It sounds as if you both shared a lot with each other.

I have felt so badly for the final reviewer on Keen--the one who was forced to give Heather a poor review as she failed to answer them. Is there any way you can contact that person or a moderator to let them know what happened?

You mentioned that she was on some dating sites for friends. Do you know which ones? We have several popular ones in Oregon. So, Heather gave you no indication that she was expecting a visitor? You mentioned homework. Are you referring to homework for a class or housework as in cleaning her home? Anything you can offer will be much appreciated as we try to figure out what happened to this lovely young woman.

Once again, welcome.

I honestly had no idea that readings could be purchased on Ebay. Here are the reviews that Heather received for her readings:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller

Once again, they were highly favorable. She seemed to be very busy the week before her death. I found it a little disturbing that one reviewer commented on the fact that she was attractive. I wonder if she did some of her readings by webcam? If you click on the "item" of the ebay review, I can bring up a gorgeous photo of Heather, which quickly disappears.
