I came to the assistance of Dwight Hammond and Steven Hammond who were taxpayers that were victimized by public officials (who earn a living from taxpayers) for being taxpayers.

I was surprised by the absence of ALL CAPS.

eta, this tweet was in response to a niece of Mel Bundy saying their cattle were being taken by BLM (along) with contract thieves and they are on watch now. They say they are taking them to AZ and then to Utah? They are just odd...

Where I grew up it was common to buy milk directly from a dairy, or split a cow with a neighbor (or sell or trade one) without involving the FDA or any inspection. The same way you might share deer or elk after a hunting trip.

Annnd I just figured out your comment. I have my own theories about who he's sleeping with. People who might want to buy meat for a lot of people, have no concern about inspections, and don't want to pay taxes or draw anyone's attention with their beef purchases. Just thinking.

“Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher in custody over charges stemming from his involvement in a 2014 armed standoff, is terrible at cattle ranching, according to a court document filed by federal authorities on Tuesday.

"While Bundy claims he is a cattle rancher, his ranching operation -- to the extent it can be called that -- is unconventional if not bizarre," wrote the U.S. attorneys for the districts of Nevada and Oregon in a memorandum arguing for Bundy's continued detention before trial.”

“The government is now questioning Bundy's ranching skills. The feds claim Bundy allows his cows, which numbered over 1,000 at the time of the standoff, to run wild with "little, if any, human interaction" until they are "sold or slaughtered for his own consumption." Bundy does not vaccinate or adequately feed the cows and doesn't know where all of them are, the document says.

"Bereft of human interaction, his cattle that manage to survive are wild, mean and ornery," the feds write. They go on to describe the cows "getting stuck in mud, wandering onto golf courses, straying onto the freeway... [and] foraging aimlessly and wildly, roaming in small groups over hundreds of thousands of acres of federal lands that exist for the use of the general public."”​

Cliven Bundy and 4 others face federal indictment in Nevada

Ammon Bundy, brother Ryan Bundy, Ryan Payne and Peter Santilli - already indicted in the armed takeover of a federal wildlife refuge in Oregon - now face federal indictment along with Cliven Bundy in the 2014 armed standoff near the Bundys' ranch in Nevada.

The indictment charges the four with 16 felony charges, including one count of conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, one count of conspiring to impede or injure a federal officer, four counts of carrying a firearm in a crime of violence, two counts of assault on a federal officer, two counts of threatening a federal law enforcement officer, three counts of obstructing justice, two counts of interfering with interstate commerce by extortion and one count of interstate travel in aid of extortion.

It also alleges five counts of criminal forfeiture. If convicted, the defendants would be required to forfeit property obtained from the proceeds of their crimes totaling at least $3 million, as well as the forfeiture of firearms and ammunition used in the April 12 standoff with federal authorities.

"The rule of law has been reaffirmed with these charges,'' said Nevada's U.S. Attorney Daniel G. Bogden, in a prepared statement. "Persons who use force and violence against federal law enforcement officers who are enforcing court orders and nearly causing catastrophic loss of life or injury to others, will be brought to justice.''
