A few places in Longview/Kelso where someone in need might find food or shelter. Last link is somewhere I thought Steph might have gone for advice, if she still shares some of boyfriend's concerns.

Food resources, Longview, WA.

So humbled and in awe of the dedication you guys have shown and are continuing to show to this case. So often I am so sad when I click out of WS. Knowing that you guys are so committed restores my faith that there is so much good in the world. If I wasn't across the pond I'd be right there helping you!

It's probably worth mentioning to - or asking - anyone who thinks they've seen Stephanie about her facial piercing.

Considering that Steph was known to engage in online gambling, I think the area casinos might be good places to check too:

Working on finding more. I think there is one up near Centralia/Chehalis (another 40 or so miles north of Longview). (nevermind, that's the Lucky Eagle, just west of Centralia).

I called the Longview Police Dept. @ 360-442-5800. I was told that the JCSO needs to teletype the information to them. I explained the whole scenario and they still said the reporting agency (JSCO) NEEDS to contact them.

I would like this to be Stephanie. I fear it will not be though. It can be very difficult to obtain information from homeless/transient people, if they don't know you and think someone doesn't want to be found. I think it may be better to appeal for info via an organization/worker known and trusted by them.

I agree that it would be best if someone Stephanie knows, either in social services or personally (like Dicentra) can approach, with police nearby. I'm sure LE has lots of experience with the best way to make contact. If it is Stephanie, there could be any number of issues going on, so it would need to be handled gently. The police need to understand that she might be feisty and aggressive, but she's not dangerous. I would hate for LE to feel they have to "defend" themselves, as sometimes happens.

I think we need to be ready to ride the wave of hope and disappointment. What gives me hope is a story like the one last spring about the woman from PA who left her two kids in the midst of a divorce and finally turned herself in 11 years later in FL. The husband was even a POI in her disappearance, but was cleared.

So essentially if there is a missing person seen in their town, they are going to do nothing unless another office gets involved. Who cares if they are the sort to not bother with missing people or invalidate all sightings.

No one will find her if its not one of our WS'ers. They just dont care

I know it's frustrating. That protocol may be for the protection of the missing person. LE isn't going to want to help an individual find someone they plan to harm. I'm sure JCSO will do the right thing, as will WSers who go to Longview.

Thank you, Sad Eyes. Can we get confirmation from someone that Detective Henderson has said he will send the info to them and has actually done it.

This would certainly be the time for Stephanie's family or Dicentra to make sure this happens and follow through. Balls get dropped, even with the best of intentions. Google Lynne Spalding who died in a stairway at SF General Hospital after it had supposedly been searched by the SFSO.

Assume nothing!

She took meds for back pain, and left them behind. Previous meds for mental health issues, but not currently IIRC.

This is the FB page for the local, online newspaper in Longview. I am wondering if they would be interested if someone on FB could let them know there have been two reported sightings of missing person Stephanie Warner there?

https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Daily-News/115458415536

There is also a website. They don't have an email contact for any news tips that I can see, but they have a phone number. Maybe a reporter would be interested enough to run a little story about the sightings? That would be a good way to get the public looking out for Stephanie - who are more likely to spot her than police officers, I'd think. There are far more members of the public than police officers.

I was able to get an actual person, extremely kind and helpful, manning the town of Longview FB page to fwd the info directly to the Chief of Police. I also emailed Dt Henderson. This is all red tape, someone needs to get up there.

According to my tipster source, the "homeless woman" was seen by her near the Safeway very near to The Peace Health Medical center.

I'm told there is a terrible storm coming in. Where would homeless find shelter? I think that's who we should be faxing flyers to this afternoon....

Is this the actual necklace or one similar?

Just a similar one from Google photos. We don't have a photo of her wearing it. Close enough for our purposes.
