I heard him ask for his shoes when they got up and he was leaving, you can hear him if you listen. He later said that he was knocked out of his shoes when they jumped on him to protect him. He was very grateful for their selfless act.

News media pay close attention to anyone coming near the press risers. The tv/video cameras of the news media are on the risers, so anyone walking around on the risers can cause the cameras to move and the live video to bounce or jiggle.
From the article, it sounds like today the news/ tv stations hire their own guards to handle the job. Makes sense. It seems like crowds today are much more prone to violent and erratic behavior.

It sounds like the CBS guard was doing his job. No need to trash the SS. They did their job by coordinating the candidate's security at the event and providing close in security to the event, during and away from the event, on the drive to and from the airport and to and from the airport and plane.

We were watching the rally when we saw something pass in front of a camera, obviously, because it blocked out the view of the stage and podium when President Trump was speaking. So either the perpetrator blocked the view or media security team members or cameramen or LE walked in front of the cameras and blocked the view, perhaps during a scuffle with person who climbed up on the media riser.

Hopefully there will be better security planning for the media area and any other areas that might be of interest to a person who wants to cause trouble at a campaign rally event.

yes I'm aware that he asked for his shoes and that they came off during that time but the agents did not 'rip them off' like was asserted in the post I quoted

How come, now, there doesn't seem to have been a rangefinder? I mean, the FBI sure goes into lotsa detail re weapons and car trunks so if there was a rangefinder we know they'd have mentioned it. Look...

There's also another thing that doesn't add up re the 2nd Floor Story. There's 2 local snipers, and that's good cuz the mission could still be carried out if one had to go to the bathroom, or inexplicably left his post, or whatever. There would still be 1 right there, where the radio is saying a man's on the roof, and where right outside all the rallygoers are shouting and pointing and summoning LEOs.

But isn't another reason why there always has to be 1 there, still at their post, the fact that it would be bad form to leave the sniper rifles and tripods there completely unattended? Well I think they mighta got locked outta not so much the building but the room. That also might explain Sniper Nicol's activity right after the crime. Was he trying to nonchalantly find somebody with a master key or something?

Yes, I too recall reading about TC's firearm being struck and pieces of the stock shattering.

Personally, I seldom click on MSM linked posts that are not dated by OP for the obvious -- avoid old news. That said, whether or not there is something new or updated in Rep Higgin's "prelim report," cited in the subject MSM link dated 9/4, I can't say but tweets/X citing same headlines are currently trending.
