I did some research on the inmate supplying the confession from Dominick.

Rusielewicz is on the National Sex Offender website (and also PA and NY sites since his original conviction was in NY). Not really relevant to what info he has, but interesting. I added some screen captures to the case archive.

Bad news for the murderers.


Confession is in, and they will be tried together. Trial will begin April 28 (just 10 days from now).

Lackawanna County Judge Terrence Nealon on Thursday denied both motions, saying there was no evidence prosecutors sought out the jailhouse informant, Anthony Rusielewicz,to obtain information from Mr. Dominick. Rather, Mr. Dominick volunteered the information while the men were incarcerated at the Monroe County prison.

While acknowledging Mr. Dominick’s confession created issues in Mr. Pal’s case, the judge said the matter could be addressed by redacting certain portions of the confession that implicated him in the homicide.

In his written opinion, Judge Nealon noted appellate courts have held there are circumstances in which a confession of one person can be admitted in a joint trial if steps are taken to protect the rights of the non-confessing co-defendant. In this case, that can be done by limiting Mr. Rusielewicz’s testimony only to Mr. Dominick’s conduct. Any references to Mr. Dominick made to Mr. Pal’s participation, such as being present during the homicide, will be barred, the judge said.

La Familia holds a negative connotation of a gang or criminal group, but in the order Judge Nealon wrote that in the case of Mr. Pal and Mr. Dominick, the tattoos are “sophomoric attempts at bravado,” not a symbol of gang affiliation.

Even though it is not good news for the family, having to attend two trials now, it will be less reason for these two a-wipes to have for appeals.

I am wondering how this is going to work out... Jason Dominick says now that Neil Pal was the triggerman, not him.

But Jason goes to trial first. Will the jury doubt that he pulled the trigger because Pal was a loose cannon with a mean streak? Nah... there is a confession to an inmate who knew details that were not made public. Pal had no beef with Frankie over the girlfriend.

Jealousy. I think the pros can prove it. Jason is desperate now with a he-did-it-not-me defense.

The defense will say the sex-offender informant is not trustworthy. But the inmate was not promised a deal.
