I thought the pistol on the hip was kinda odd (guess I still do but hey .. to each his own) BUT my 21 year old daughter said it's kinda a "Hbg Craze" .. lot's of girls have them. I didn't believe her but I googled pistol tattoo on hip and it seems it's more common than I could have imagined. (Not just in Hbg)

Personally I think Kortne has tried on several personas in the past few years .. "hippie chick" is just her latest ... If you look at photos on FB of her 21st birthday .. (which had to be within the year) .. she is all pretty and dolled up .. no hippie garb. I think she is just trying on different styles to see what fits and depending on her mood at the time like any other young adult. JMO of course.

Kortne .. where are you???

OR Mommy and Daddy own them and he claims they are "His" to make himself look like a big shot.
 
It seems like Kortne was pretty upset that night and if she was out drinking and upset those two don't miss very welll and can make for some impulsive poor decision making. I am still suspicious of the "Mr Overnight" but I think some things can be explained. Like him waking up and not seeing her and leaving and texting her saying he didn't see her when he left. Supposedly the two had recently started hanging out again and she had a bf who lived there usually. I can see him just leaving and not wanting or feeling the need to go look around the apt for her or go in their bedroom that morning just t say he is leaving. So the text makes more sense to me and is maybe felt more appropriate to him. I don't know I'm not that old and given the fact she had a bf and was probably thought to be in the bedroom I'm not feeling his story is to far fetched or hard to believe. I was wondering if it was actually stated that LE went and knocked on the neighbors door the 2nd time? If not then I don't think its unusual for them to go and knock on Kortne's door and leave without making additional contact with the neighbor. My significant other is LE and he says it would be LEs call and if the scene was quiet when they arrived the 2nd time and no one answered Kortne's door its likely they cleared the scene without making any additional contact with the neighbor whom called 911.

Yeah I also saw talk about her being upset with a girl at the club who stole from her on one of the local news FB pages. I didn't like that after hearing about the drug dealing and floor boards being tore up in the apt a few days prior to her missing. Just don't sound good at all.

Or...she changed friend groups and changed her style to accommodate or fit in.
Personally I think the suspect pool is pretty contained to those who were in the house that night. I don't think outsiders fit into this late-night timeline.

There is information that can't be posted here that the BF could not have been at Kortne's residence that night. Sleepover guy had to have been aware of that info.

I don't believe that his not checking in before he left had anything to do with that.

I'll buy the leaving without saying anything, but not in combination with the follow up text.

One of these things is not like the other.
 
Does anyone know where either sleepover guy or his friend live?
 
So many of the racetrack workers are from New York I would imagine (summer help) K could be missing and being held in New York. Has anyone looked into workers perhaps missing from the track? She could be held against her will in NY possibly even sold and out of the country for **X trade. It isn't difficult to get out of the country without a passport by boat and private jet. Just a far fetched idea, but a very realistic one and something that could very well have happened. JMO
 
PalmyraDad: I am especially interested in your knowledge of the house - I am curious about the setup of the separate apartments. To enter Kortne's apartment, she could either use the side door in the rear or the slider at the top of the deck steps, correct? When you enter the side door, what does it lead into? Is it a common hallway for both tenants?

Just trying to get a better understanding of the layout of the house. I find it extremely interesting that you said the third floor is almost soundproof. I haven't really formed an opinion on CP yet, but if he was on the 3rd floor and Kortne was stomping around on the 2nd floor to rile up her neighbor, it could be possible he doesn't know what happened after that.

As and aside, I am generally a calm and peaceful person, I too have never been in a physical fight in my life, but there are a few things that I will go ballistic over - one of them being my dogs. If the neighbor was complaining about them, I can see Kortne getting fiercely defensive if she feels the same way about her dogs that I do about mine.

I love dogs, but not an irresponsible owner.

Nearby Lower Swatara Township has a barking ordinance. If your dog is home alone or tied out and barking continuously, you can be fined and cited. Not sure about Palmyra.

I don't see any pictures of her dog on facebook, so I don't know how dedicated a dog owner she is.

I am just starting to follow this case. I can't figure out how the dispute with the neighbor and her disappearance could be a coincidence.

LOL, I won't smite you - you do make great points. I am looking at it from a responsible dog owner's point of view. :D And you're right about the FB thing, pet pics are a given!

OT

regarding your location - "The Land of Buggies and Black Bumpers "

I only recently became aware of the popularity of Volkswagen in the local Amish community. I had occasion to pass by a couple of Sunday evening gatherings and there were 15 - 20 black Volkswagens at both places. The VW emblem was not painted over on a couple of them. It was shiny.
 
Sleepover guest and friends just recently reacquainted themselves with Kortne (per her parents) at a time when her BF Bradley was apparently required to be elsewhere — convenient timing IMO. The legal eagle on JVM said that included in the search warrant for Kortne’s apartment were drugs and drug paraphernalia (not exactly boilerplate items). It could be the almost perfect crime… drugs or related un-deposited money stolen — nobody’s going to mention that to the police or make an insurance claim. Perhaps the male bar-hoppers were just hired to collect items or money for a third party and things got out of control? He (sleepover guy) thinks Kortne is asleep and starts looking around the apartment for hidden items and she catches him and things go to hell in a hand basket? Perhaps he gave her something to conk her out and instead it proved lethal and linkable to him, so he removed her from the apartment?

As for the downstairs neighbor — if these run-ins were commonplace and he had it out for Kortne then why would he try to harm her on a night when she had guests over? Of course why not answer the door when the police came a-knocking the 2nd time — unless he has no respect for LE and the “stomping” had already ceased.
 
There's so much about this case that we don't know and that doesn't add up.

If the "stomping" proved lethal, wouldn't there be evidence of that in the apartment? The fact that there's been no mention of evidence of that sort in the apartment leads me to think that she left the apartment on her own two feet, though whether willingly or not, I have no idea.

And after all the noise during the night, wouldn't you think someone would have seen someone arriving or leaving that apartment house? Or even returning later in the day? An apparently thorough search of the area around her apartment turned up nothing. That, of course, suggests she's not in the immediate area. So how did she leave or how did someone get her out of there?

Too many questions and not a single decent answer.
 
If you go in the side (main) entrance to the 2nd floor apartment, you up a flight of stairs to a hallway. Turning left takes you to a large room, which was our living room when we lived there. Further to the left, along Main Street, is a room of similar size, which was our kids' playroom.

Turning right at the top of the stairs will lead you to the bathroom at the end of the hall. On the right side of the hallway, right next to the top of the stairs, is the entrance into the kitchen. The south side of the kitchen leads into a small room, which is where the sliding door is located. The entrance to the third floor, finished attic, is in the northwest corner of the kitchen.

The third floor has two fully finished rooms, separated by a doorway and a small storage space along the Main Street side.

You can enter the downstairs by either a front or back door. Entering the back door puts you in the kitchen with a decent sized room right next to it, which opens to a hallway on its east side. Turning right takes you to the bathroom and turning left leads to a bedroom on the left side but leads to a large living room along Main Street. Right next to the bedroom entrance is the basement door. The basement is divided into a couple spaces and is fully concreted but may now be fully finished.
