Anybody know whether the NOT BF was asked to submit to a lie detector test yet?

The other girlfriend and Latoyia being punched in the stomach should have some repercussions. It is strange and incriminating.

Homicide detectives joined the case of missing pregnant woman LaToyia Figueroa ( search) overnight, even though there is no evidence of foul play.

Police also questioned Figueroa's boyfriend again overnight.

Police say they found nothing in their search of Cobbs Creek Park ( search) in west Philadelphia. They spent yesterday looking for clues to the disappearance of the 24-year-old, who is five months pregnant. She was last seen on July 18th walking from her boyfriend's home after the two went to a doctor's appointment.

Her boyfriend is the father of the unborn child. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,164127,00.html

Here's another article with more details, but some of them seem to conflict with other stories.

1. What she supposed to work at TGI fridays that night or not? How hard to figure out is THAT? One call to the shift manager should clear that up, why is this still a mystery?

2. Is her boyfriend's name Pouche or Poaches? I've seen it both ways, still.

3. Did she ACTUALLY go to the doctor's office, and get refused? Was this a doc who had treated her for her pregnancy before, or did they in fact arrive at the hospital and choose not to go to the Doc's office for the stated reason they didn't have the money? Has anyone verified she is pregnant?

4. Did Steven P see her last at 3:30 or at 5 p.m.?

Every day we hear something new on this case. Last night, on FOX I believe, LaToyia's father said that she had spent the night at the baby's father's house on Sunday night. So now, what do we have?

-LaToyia was last seen by anyone other than the baby's father, on Sunday. :(
-LaToyia took the day off, Monday, to spend with the baby's father (she had never taken a day off before, per someone interviewed on FOX)
-LaToyia's dad said the NOT BF told LaToyia if she took the day off he would pay her what she would make in the day's wages.
-The NOT BF said they went to a doctor's appointment
-It's reported LaToyia did not actually see the doctor because neither party had the $35.00 co-pay. :twocents:
-The NOT BF said they went out to lunch.
-The NOT BF said LaToyia left his apartment about 3:00 to 3:30 P.M. on Monday afternoon.
-The NOT BF told LaToyia's dad that he dropped her off at the 52nd Street train station about 3:00 to 3:30 P.M. :liar:
-About a month prior, LaToyia was attacked outside her home by a woman who kicked her in the stomach :chicken:
-The NOT BF just had a child two weeks prior with ANOTHER woman :slap:

IMO, they need to question the NOT BF and his OTHER woman on who it was that attacked LaToyia previously. Did they hire her? Is she a friend of the OTHER woman? :waitasec:

Why is this NOT BF staying away from the cameras? Is he who he says he is? :silenced:

Interesting and baffling. :banghead:

Exactly,........unless she waited until Monday morning to call into work. But, that's what I got out of it.

Someone took her child to daycare on Monday a.m. Maybe it was Latoyia, maybe it wasn't.

The question is still unanswered as to whether she actually went into the doc's office or not. That would be a sighting you could rely on, if she actually appeared there and tried to be seen.

A new article for LaToyia.

- apparently she did go out to lunch with Poaches - she called a friend from lunch

- they searched a cemetary and the cadaver dogs got several "hits" for dead human bodies (why are they surprised at that?)

- it was the father of her 7 year old who reported her missing

The search for a missing pregnant woman, who has been missing since July 18, is continuing in Philadelphia at a new location.

Latoyia Figueroa's family is following every lead, hoping to locate her.

On Monday, Melvin Figueroa called on a Delaware K-9 team to search for his pregnant daughter at Centennial and Concourse Lakes near Memorial Hall.

The dogs were unsuccessful in finding anything leading to Figueroa.

Poaches is cooperating with police. He isn't considered a suspect, but the family feels he should also be assisting with the search for Figueroa. http://www.nbc10.com/news/4795902/detail.html

This is so so sad...Reminds me of when Laci went missing, I am praying for Latoyia's family, God I hope they find her!

Today her dad talked about two arguments between LaToyia and the creeps girlfriend. The girlfriend confronted Latoyia in a store and they fought there and then when LaToyia was leaving her home the girlfriend was waiting outside and the girls got into a fight and LaToyia was kicked in the stomach by the girlfriend and her purse was taken. Evidentally the girlfriend had someone with her. Sounds to me like the girlfriend really had it out for LaToyia. Dad said that the creep keeps changing his story.

So LaToyia and the creep went back to his place after lunch. I wonder if that girlfriend didn't show up there and the girls fought and something bad happened to LaToyia. The guy (creep) sounds like a real loser to me and I just wonder if he wouldn't have just stood by and watched a fight. Probably would make him feel like a real man. If LaToyia was smothered or strangled there wouldn't be any evidence....just like Laci.

Who knows, maybe the creep and his girlfriend had something all planned out. I think it is kind of strange that even though LaToyia didn't have a relationship with the creep he asked her to call in sick...was willing to go to the doctor with her and then take her out to lunch. Probably be pretty expensive to pay child support for two babys. I think the creep and his girlfriend are guilty and if they are I hope they both go to prison forever.

So are they implying that the other girlfriend, in a large pregnant stage, picked a physical fight with Latoyia? That almost doesn't seem believable. I had understood the father to say "a woman" had attacked her, and shortly after that the exgirlfriend began harrassing her, and it was his assumption that the other girlfriend was behind the attack. Surely a very pregnant woman didn't attack her twice, did she?

This case just seems so solveable. It would sure be nice to get some simple answers - but it's not really my business. I'm just burning with curiousity about whether she actually HAD a doctor or not.

Disappearance draws media's gaze By Mark Memmott, USA TODAY
Eleven days after a young, pregnant woman who is black and Hispanic disappeared in Philadelphia, the national media are giving her the type of attention they previously devoted to white women.

Thursday, police searched a park near there for clues.

Sgt. Ron McClane of the Philadelphia police told the Associated Press there was no evidence yet of foul play. Melvin Figueroa told USA TODAY his daughter has never disappeared before. A local crime commission was offering a $10,000 reward for help in finding her.

Her story was updated throughout Thursday on all three cable news networks: CNN, Fox and MSNBC. Today, all four major broadcast networks plan to run the story on their morning shows.

Internet bloggers appear to have played a role in pushing Figueroa's case into the spotlight. Starting last Friday, Philadelphia-area writers of Internet weblogs, or blogs, organized an e-mail campaign and coordinated their blogging efforts.

Mom's tragic fate weighed on Latoyia

By SIMONE WEICHSELBAUM
Posted on Fri, Jul. 29, 2005

ALL HER LIFE, Latoyia Figueroa feared ending up like her mother.

Before little Latoyia was old enough for grade school, cops found her mom dead on a Kensington Street with a deep cut in her throat.

It was April 13, 1985. Her mom, Ann Taylor, was only 22.

Flash forward 20 years.

Figueroa, 24, is missing for the 11th day, five months pregnant and without her 7-year-old daughter at her side.

Her friends and family are praying that history will not repeat itself.

"I hope it isn't the same scenario," said Carletta Kennedy, Figueroa's childhood friend. "Lord have mercy."

Police still do not know what happened to Figueroa. They are searching her Southwest Philadelphia neighborhood for clues, interviewing the men who are part of her dating life and piecing together the last few hours she was seen in public.

A reward for information leading to the discovery of the whereabouts of a missing Philadelphia woman has been increased to $100,000, authorities said Tuesday.

Local philanthropists, the staff of the restaurant where she worked and rap star Beanie Sigel were among those who contributed to the additional reward.

Police said Friday that the father of the baby has been cooperating with investigators. Police said they do not have suspects or a motive.

This isn't so uncommon as you think. Pregnant women die more by homicide than anything else. In middle-class areas, most people frown on unmarried couples, or having children by multiple partners. In lower-income areas, this is quite common, and unfortunately, women tend to blame other women, not the men, when someone cheats.
