The Philly PD and FBI are exhuming 8 sets of remains from a potters field on Dunks Ferry Rd in northeast Philadelphia this week. One of the graves belongs to the "Girl in the Box." They will be there until Friday Sept 27, 2024 and plan to use genealogical research to try to identify the remains. Coincidentally, this is the same potters field the "Boy in the Box" was originally buried, who has since been recently identified.

PHILADELPHIA -- Investigators in Philadelphia exhumed samples from eight bodies buried in a potter's field this week in the hope that advances in DNA-based sleuthing can help them identify the long-ago victims and perhaps learn how they died.

The victims include a 4- to 6-year-old girl found dead in 1962, an infant boy found in 1983 and three men and three women found between 1972 and 1984.

Philadelphia police hope to ID 8 sets of human remains from a potter's field, including 2 children

The remains include those of a 4- to 6-year-old girl found dead in 1962, an infant boy found in 1983 and six adults found between 1972 and 1984.

A tremendous shame for the girl from Wister Woods, on the other hand the body of this girl who died in 1962 was already found.
