Signs posted around Old Forge seeking information about the disappearance of borough businessman Robert Baron carry a simple message, part statement and part plea:
“Someone here knows where he is.”
Six months after the 58-year-old Ghigiarelli’s owner vanished after what investigators said appeared to have been a violent assault inside his South Main Street restaurant, a criminal investigation by borough police and the Lackawanna County district attorney’s office is active and ongoing.

Yes they did in fact later indicate that the body that was found was not Baron and that they would not give the identity until the family was notified.This article says the body is thought to have been there for several days. Robert has been missing for 8 months.

Two weeks ago, investigators announced DNA testing confirmed that blood and a tooth found inside Ghigiarelli’s during a Jan. 26 search were those of the missing businessman.
