County police said human remains found in a garbage bag in an illegal dump near Plum are the remains of Elizabeth Wiesenfeld.

Wiesenfeld was reported missing on April 30, 2019 to the Whitehall Police Department.

This has been published in several articles. Drives me a little crazy every time I see it. I-80 is nowhere near Homestead. It's 90+ miles north.

Is it possible they said "Shady", as in Shady Ave, which is a block from Dobra Tea and goes towards Homestead Grays Bridge, and a reporter misheard "80" and translated that to I-80?

I came in to catch up when I saw this thread had been updated, and had quite a shock when I read this. I knew Dana Jaffe. Not well and it's been years since I saw her, but never thought I'd be reading here and see a name I knew. RIP Dana.

As for Tonee...I've always thought this was self-harm. The belongings on the bridge, etc..the Three Rivers of Pittsburgh sometimes give up their secrets...but not always. If spring came and went and she wasn't found, I fear she may never be.

But there is always hope. Pray for her family to get the answers they need.

IMO, any local reporter would know I-80 isn't near Homestead. If that's what they thought they heard, I'd think they'd question it.
