Park County Sheriff's Office, Montana

The Sheriff’s Office continues to search for Ben Hampson. I realize many of you have seen these posts over the last few days, but I would ask that you take a second to familiarize yourself with Ben’s photo and his pickup just in case you happen to see him. Please contact the Sheriff’s Office with any information at 406-222-2050.

MTN News spoke with Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler on Friday. He says his deputies and officers with several other agencies have been searching fishing accesses and other wilderness access points for Hampson. So far, there has been no sign of him.

The last ping on his phone was in the Belgrade area. Hampson's says he was driving a white Ford F-150 when he disappeared.

Indeed….His family must be worried sick :-(

ETA
Montana Rail Link, 704 E Gallatin St, Livingston, MT

If we assume he went to work and then disappeared after work hours, this may have been the location he departed from

“He was home at 3:05 p.m.,” said Brittney, who added cameras at their Livingston home recorded her husband entering and exiting the premises.

He wore a yellow Montana State University Bobcats T-shirt and black ball-cap at the time of his departure, per video footage.

Brittney said she was still at work when her husband came home.

“The only other thing we know is he stopped at a gas station in the Bozeman area at around 3:50 p.m.,” said Brittney Hampson, citing a banking withdraw statement of an undisclosed sum.

Hampson presumed her husband withdrew the cash to fuel his white Ford F-150 pickup with Montana Centennial plates reading CVS 489.

The story above is behind a paywall for me, so I only caught a snippet. His wife said Ben was going through a hard time?
Sadly the article fails to elaborate on that, just:

"“I thought we would find him by now. He was going through a difficult time,” said Benjamin’s wife, BH, a librarian at ES Elementary School."

Sept 17
The Park County Sheriff's Office said they have "diligently pursued all leads," and still have not been able to locate Ben Hampson.

Hampson was last seen on September 3. His Ford F-150 truck with license plate CVS489 is missing, as well. Hampson's phone last pinged in Belgrade around 6:30 p.m. the last day he was seen.

Ben’s wife said he was going through a difficult time. But we have no idea what that meant specifically. Is he taking a breath and needs time and space to sort something out? Or was this a more permanent escape which hasn’t been discovered yet?

I’m really hoping it’s the first.
