Money is an international language.
Good point! LOL
Money is an international language.
Suriname has extradition treaty with the Netherlands, unlike most South American countries. If he ends up getting arrested there, he could be extradited to the Netherlands for trial and sentence. He would be a hell of a lot better off than in Peru.
I am a little uncomfortable with this fight with the father. Mulitiple stab wounds is usually a lot of anger and a beating.
Do you think she was hiding from Dad in Jorans room?
I'm confused. First it was a black truck, then it was a bus and now it's a taxi??
So, do you think Daddy could have killed her? Just playing devil's advocate! I know this will immediately, be shot down!
Looks like the buses don't cross the border. You get off and get a different kind of ride. Taxi, shuttle, that sort of thing.

It is a long way, but Arica is very close to the Santa Rosa Crossing where he crossed from Peru into Chile.
Just thinking outside of the box.So, do you think Daddy could have killed her? Just playing devil's advocate! I know this will immediately, be shot down!

ABC News just said an international arrest warrant has been issued. They seem to feel it is a pretty solid case, with evidence...
This story says he was spotted in a northern Chile city today. Not sure of this media source, may be false, but they quote a Chilean police officer

If true, he may have paid the two men mentioned in the article to help him get across the border.
I thought that it was stated it was Sunday that he either "checked out" or "left" the hotel. The body wasn't found until Wednesday. That's quite a few days to not go and clean a room IF he actually "checked out".
I heard it both ways now, so I am not sure if he "left" or checked out". :banghead:
Surinam also has extradition laws with Peru.
He can't be extradicted to the Netherlands for a crime that he is accused of in Peru. That's not how extradiction laws function.
My point was that you can't get from Lima to Chile very quickly.
BREAKING NEWS: Some reports say that Joran van der Sloot, longtime suspect in the disappearance of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway five years ago and prime suspect of the brutal stabbing death days ago of 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, has been found dead near the Peru border after allegedly committing suicide.
There are currently no more details on this breaking news but we’ll post updates here in Daily World Trends regarding this piece of news so keep it here.
Natalee Holloway of Mountain Brook, Alabama disappeared five years ago on May 30, 2005 while she was on a trip to Aruba to celebrate her high school graduation. Her body has never been found. The other and just recent victim of van der Sloot, Stephany Ramirez, was found dead inside a room at the hotel Tac in Miraflores. She had been stabbed brutally and was found wrapped in a blanket. The hotel room was reportedly registered under van der Sloot’s name.
