Her body is parallel with the bed in the pic, in the diagram of the crime scene I saw on another link her body was positioned differently, NOT parallel with the bed. So, I wonder if its authentic or staged pic. And, wheres his white shirt?

Right, what I am saying is I think it is a real photo of her body, in the room, but not as it was found when they walked in the door. It was taken as the scene was processed and before she was removed from the room.

We saw the way they manhandled the backback and the laptop with no regard for forensics and fingerprints. I don't think the room is processed like it was here.

I agree it is not a photo of how she was found, but I do think it is a photo of Stephany. That is the bedspread that the hotel website shows in their rooms.

I do think that in order for that lighter sentence your story has to be verified and clearly he did not meet the mark on the drugs.

Although I haven't come to a conclusion yet I'm still wondering if he was not trying to make his way to another country within South America that does have a formal treaty. He wants to go back to Aruba or the Netherlands I'm sure. (On a previous thread we had been discussing why he chose to move southward into Chile...etc.).

I by no means think that JVDS is an intelligent man. But he is a criminal and has been one for quite a while in his few short years, I am willing to wager he knows which country to get his hindend to when there is a chance he could be caught for any of those crimes. KWIM? I could be wrong.

According to this story, JVDS went to the airport and then decided to take a taxi to Chile instead. I think that is why the cab drivers were also charged.

He smashed in her face!!!!!! he smashed in her face!!! and some want humane treatment for him. Can you imagine how Stephanys family must have reacted when they read her autopsy report? Their beautiful daughter had her face smashed in making her almost unrecognizable. The family member who identified her body will NEVER forget the condition that her body and face were in. It will haunt them for the rest of their lives. To know that Joran admitted she was dead as he sat and ate pastry and had coffee while Stephanys body laid silent is almost too much to digest.
God forgive me for saying this but I hope he never makes it to trial. He is a monster and again he will rot in hell with his father. As for his mother she is an enabler. I do not feel sorry for her. She and her husband had a hand in raising this monster. If he was such a difficult child to raise she could have gotten help to straighten him out. Now she is coming to Peru with a media person. PLEASE! I can't wait to hear how she tries to get her son off the hook. Will she say the extortion plot he concocted to get money from his first victims family was a setup? How will she explain the death of her sons latest victim who he beat to death?
I am so glad that many of you here can discuss this case in a calmer manner that I ever could because when I think of what Joren did to this little Girl, someones daughter, sister, friend etc, I get angry and sorrowful that this has happened again.

From the GMA interview of Anita & Paulas Vandersloot when the NH case was going on...Anita & Paulas claimed that that case had changed there boy, and that he no longer was a trusting person.....Can you imagine how much this is going to change her little boy, if she thought he was different because of that case, she will have no idea the how much this will change him....He will be scared for his life every day that he is in Castro Castro....I hope he finally feels the fear and terror that both of his victims felt and he took both of there lives.

HE'S no longer a trusting person, well isn't that just TOO FREAKING BAD!!!! And appropriate, because nobody certainly trusts HIM. When someone does trust him, they end up DEAD. Hope he has a lot of other mental changes in the years to come, now that he's locked up. Trust probably will be the very LEAST of his worries. jmo

He really seems to know how to work the system and what cards to play.
I hope there is no way for Aruba to take him back on the promise of locating Natalee's body--as much as I'd like for Beth to have her daughter's remains--unless there's a guarantee he will be locked up for life. I'm afraid he will wiggle his way out of this whole mess somehow. He should never be free again.

Thank you Nums. I'm trying very hard to keep up with the threads and I apologize for not being able to so far. (I'm in the middle of a move~~over 3,000 miles away from my previous home and I'm still in a hotel with my family).

Has it been reported whether or not he held a ticket to the Netherlands? Or has it been reported he was going to go purchase a ticket with Stephany's funds? TIA!

Okay I'll scratch off the Netherlands but I wonder if he really wanted to go back to Aruba? I'm still open to that ~ but I will change my mind as I catch up on facts I'm sure!

I read earlier in Peru they do not have trials, the judge makes the decision. So far seems the judge seems very good.

And we have no idea what he did to poor Natalee to kill her on the beach. He could have beaten her to a bloody pulp also, strangled her, smothered her face in the sand until she was dead. His story of her having a seizure and dying is BS, IMO.. He has some intense rage inside him, that's for sure. i hope he is never let back out on the streets, I don;t care if he is 79 years old by the time he is done with his legal business, he will always and forever be dangerous. JMO.
