Someone asked why Joran didn't dispose of the incriminating items. My opinion is that he may have thought that to dispose of them would make it possible for authorities to find the items and thus, track HIM. He might have figured that if he held everything WITH him, he could control at least that much of what was out there to find. As long as he had that stuff safely with him, he knew what they DIDN'T have. Otherwise, he would always be wondering if they had found the items. And he knew that it would help to not leave a "bread crumb" trail behind him of which way he traveled.

Just my two cents here--it could be a frustration injury too (in addition to the obvious bone breaking result) -- with his temper fueled by booze (remember he had an alcohol fueled night with a stranger after he left Lima) -- he could have punched a wall?

I thought of that one too Newone. Or that his attorney would claim that he hit a wall or such, out of frustration--and it is possible.

Imagine what the frightened monster was thinking after he calmed down.

"I just f---ed up my whole life. No one here in this foreign land to protect me now. No Daddy, no Kalpoes, no ---- whatever larger conspiracy may, or may not, be involved."

It seems like after this, he was in total panic and stupid mode.

But does anyone have the link to the video of the fake knocking spiel handy, and maybe I can see his left hand?

Again from breaking my own knuckles, they swell up within minutes, so it should be there if it occurred from the murder.

IMO ... these are lessons he learned from his father. Problem is ... THIS time he left Stephany behind.

I thought of that too. But that is probably why many people are cught with the evidence!!

waiting and waitin for that perfect place to ditch the evidence, until BOOM, the cops got ya.

But from what I posted earlier from ROL, it seems like he did the stupidest thing imaginable with her clothing--gave it to the taxi drivers!

Can you imagine the conversation,

"You want big bucks from me to take me over the border? Here I just killed this woman who was wearing these pants. It's worth a fortune on ebay."

And the equally brilliant drivers said, "Hmm that sounds OK to me. But throw in that watch."

I have noticed in the casino video when Stephanie gets up to leave, she walks ahead and Joran begins to walk, hesitates and looks at her. It almost looks like he touches his chest as if to say "me too" or "do you want me to come with you."

Has anyone noticed that or would someone take a look at it and see if you see the same thing. TIA

He probably thought he'd be safe out of the country before anyone found Stephany or figured out who Stephany was since he took her id, not knowing he had been caught on hotel security cameras or that her family was well known and had seen the casino security videos already.

Thanks for posting the link of Anita's e-mail on this thread. Of course, it's all the fault of the American media: she's gotta have someone to blame other than Joran. She must be consulting with Jackie Peterson.:steamed::steamed:

Or Cindy Anthony. If you put all three women in the same room together that would be one place I'd want to be far far far away from.

TruTV's Jean Casarez on How She Got an Inside Look at Joran van der Sloot's Jail Cell

By Kevin Allocca on Jun 18, 2010 03:58 PM

"Jean Casarez, truTV "In Session" correspondent, got a look inside the Peruvian jail cell that alleged murderer Joran van der Sloot will remain in during his trial. TVNewser spoke to Casarez about the report from Peru between live hits for CNN and HLN today.

She attributes the prison's invitation to "old fashioned journalism and talking to sources" explaining that they had put in the request for a tour soon after arriving in the region. "One reason they wanted us to come in is that they focus on rehabilitation," she told us. "They felt Castro Castro had been sensationalized by the world people and wanted everyone to know that its not what people think it is.""

Oh, spare me.

Does anyone know when anita sent that email? Is it known if she sent it to Melody to pass the message on to ABC?

If she did then any compassion I could muster up for her is gone.

I believe Patty G has the limp hand video in the media thread here...I think.

Joran throwing wine into the face and eyes of reporter Peter De Vries with his RIGHT Hand.

Bobarino;

Thank you for the wine video, but, does that come in English? I cannot understand a word, felt like Hitler was speaking to me though the computer. Hahaha!

Yes, I agree. It looks like that to me too. And then he does follow her. But then the video skips ahead and he's returning to the table from the other directions until she returns and they leave.

When she originally gets up from the table, she's on her way to cash in the chips. But at 3:04 of this video, it shows her cashing in her chips and he is not with her. So maybe he turned back at some point.

I just read what was typed for the Anita email.

I find it hard to believe that an older lady, from another culture, would say, "it stinks" when describing her child's horrid situation. I just have to say I am not certain Anita wrote or sent that. JMO.
