She wakes up to find him looking for her cash and credit cards. There is a confrontation, he hits her, knows in that moment he is F'ed. He has just assaulted a woman and with his past he knows this is huge problem, and he knows this is a daughter of privilege, he goes ballastic, blind rage, beats her to death.

To the sociopath that was his money, how dare she interfere with his plans, and now look at the mess she has made. I think that is the hatred you see in the beating, not sexual violence.

If they ruled out sexual assault they look for more than seminal fluid. There are abrasions and minor tears that happen in the process. And not to be graphic, but her pants were off, he clearly was able to overpower her, why isn't there signs of sexual assault?

She has her shirt and panties and pad on, sounds like sleeping clothes to me. But we will probably never know.

Beginning to think this may be more like it too.

Added in was the 2 coke bottles found in the room, 1 regular with a little left and 1 diet that was empty. I would suppose the diet one was SF's since most mean I know won't touch diet drinks whether they need it or not.

Now the question is where did these come from? We didn't see them in the lobby video...is there yet another time JVDS left the room that we haven't seen?
 
He clearly said on Geraldo that he was not on good terms with JVS nor his family. Speechless...there are no words.

He wants everyone to think she's alive before he leaves, so he changes his clothes--throws the white blood spotted shirt over her and goes out for the coffee ruse. He comes back drinks some coffee and makes toast, packs and leaves with whatever he found on her for money and maybe that missing necklace. He takes her car keys and leaves room keys on table so clerk thinks "his girl" has them and wants to sleep in. He leaves in her car and dumps it.

Yes, said the mattress was not on the bed. Can't recall if there was a second mattress, but believe said top mattress was removed.

I understand the FBI was involved, but the money landed in Joran's lap! He walked away with that money to spend and Holloway is not getting it back. WTH! That was a shame that Ms. Holloway thought she would actually get answers from her daughter's murderer. There was no way he was going to tell her where Natalee's body was found. NO WAY. I'm not sure he even knows since she was (likely) dumped at sea.

I wouldn't pay that piece of slime 1 nickle for "information."

I can't believe GVS isn't devoting more of her show to this. She was so invested in the Holloway case for so long.

Seriously... he hasn't faired real well with a lot of his cases. Melanie MacGuire comes to mind. And I've read several times that 'he doesn't have a good relationship with the family now'.

Based on that other dude (Garcia), Joran knew Stephany for more than just a couple of hours. Joran googled her name and determined she would be good for conning her out of some money. But she was not a willing gullible victim.
He is a gambling addict, just as addictive as a drug addict. Always needs money. His mom probably cut him off. If he wanted sex , am sure in Lima , he could have found someone to accommodate him for some soles.

If he didn't intend to rape her, why was she found with no jeans, just panties?

Just a clarification...Chile did not extradite him, they said that would take too long...they expelled him. Smart move on Chile's part I am sure they did not want on this publicly and media hounding them for months.

That gal was attacked. Her clothes were removed by JVDS. She didn't volunteer, she didn't perform a striptease, she didn't remove her pants to make herself more comfortable. She was attacked and brutally murdered.

I'm curious about this need to find any and all possibilities to shift the blame towards the victim, towards the police, towards the system, towards anyone but that murderer. I'm troubled by the 'blame everyone else and feel sorry for Joran being in this sad situation' posture.

FWIW I don't think Beth H provided any money for the FBI sting. I think they provided that after she had been contacted.
 
On the belief she was exploring her sexually perhaps she was trying to be with a man and in the middle of this decided, "i can't do this".
he would have been pissed.

There hasn't been much discussion about the date rape drug on WS, or I missed it. How do others think he managed to get this in her? Her father said there were wrappings from drugs in her car? Did she take them willingly, and if not, how did he do it? Any ideas?
