I don't think "alternative lifestyle" friendly would be used in SA to imply same-sex partners (don't think that would be considered an alternative in a major city). Might be wrong, though. Wonder if implies more than two adult individuals would be permitted in the room.

Here in South Florida - "alternative lifestyle" friendly means gay/lesbian. We have several resorts, restaurants, hotels, nightclubs that make sure to put that in their advertising.

I would think it would mean the same - in the travel industry agents will look for that when booking trips for gay couples. Sometimes the gay couples will ask for that.

MF showed a diagram provided by police of the crime scene showing the location and position of Stephany's body. It's different than the one shown on Nancy Grace. Does anyone have a link?

Mark Fuhrman shows video of similar room to 309. Room is very small: bed, nightstand, table w/TV & stereo. Walls are tile (so hard surface). Bed is hard wood frame with mattress on top. Window has bars.

Important: MF says there's a bank of TVs showing video of all the floors at front desk. Very obvious.

maybe this is part of the reason SF stays so far back by the door in the lobby and keeps her head down. She can see she is on camera. I heard on one news report that her father previously ran for president of peru?? Can someone confirm? Could she be that well known and she knew her father wouldn't approve of her being there, even if it is just to go to the room for a computer??

Alternative lifestyle could imply any sort of sexual deviation from the norm, I would think. I guess what I was trying to say is that the hostel may have been used to hearing all sorts of wild noises coming from the rooms there. And I'm sure that they didn't always know who was in who's room. The video cams show them but I'm not sure there are employees watching those cams 24/7. The hotel didn't even know poor Stephany was dead in Jorans room for almost 3 days. Sorry for the confusion.

I also read somewhere (sorry, no link) that this hostel rented rooms by the hour. If true, we know what that implies. She would have been embarrassed to be seen entering this place.

I heard/read the mattress was askew not off the bed. Also, in the link I posted of the room descriptions earlier today, it said the rooms were 140 square feet. Think 10 x 14. Not very big at all.

No, you explained it well! Just jumping from your thoughts... I just want the purse to be her's, because I don't want to hear his BS/attempt at an alibi that's it's another female's, if you get my drift. That's why I was curious as to whether or not that term would imply same sex couples, or have some other implications.

All reports I've heard regarding the mattress is that it was askew.

If he didn't intend to rape her, why was she found with no jeans, just panties?

If he did drug her the first effects make you very groggy and generally sick to your stomach. She may have laid down to try to sleep it off.

The question to me is if he pulled her jeans off in a violent struggle how did she keep her panties on?

I sort of feel like I am watching a movie JORAN II. I sure wish thats what this was. The movie however would be that some world players got sick or him and set this up and shipped him off.
Not that Stephany had to lose her life being with the likes of him.

One poster mentioned that JVS had possibly borrowed money from Stefany. She had a car, he didn't. Maybe she offered him a ride back to the hotel and he said come in for a minute and I will pay you back. Not sure what happened after that but it would explain why she would willingly go to his room when her friends said she is usually cautious. That story about buying his laptop doesn't make sense to me. He uses his computer a lot - has myspace and other pages and plays on line poker - can't imagine he would give that up. And for $1000.00 from her dad she could get a new laptop plus printer too.
