Good theory but why would JB drug her? She was there for sex and that was her job he didn't need to drug her to get sex from her. If anything he wouldn't have done drugs with her to enhance the experience for both of them ,he wouldn't want to giver her something to cause her to panic and resist him unless he's LISK and that's what enjoyed. Also,if he did choke her ,holy cow that sounds like something that LISK would do! I'm bothered that she said 'they" are trying to kill me .... who was in the house with JB that night that Shannon referred to as "They"? Lastly, Pak...I don't feel confident about him leaving Shannon ,if she was hysterical banging on doors and screaming how the heck did he lose her? He must have heard her. And he wanted his money why the heck would he leaver her there.I"m also uncomfortable that he told Gus Coletti that he wanted to take her back to a party. A party implies there was more than one person at JB's that night. Too many things about the story told by all three men,PH,JB and Pak,that night don't make sense.

completely agree. if you feel someone is going to get you, you don't stop to remove your pants and in her case, her jeans. You would have to stop and if you are running thru a wet area then you have even a harder time with wet jeans. Given her line of work, they were probably snug as well. I also feel you wouldnt throw down your phone either. Its your only lifeline at this point. Is it possible she was drug by her ankles by someone and her jeans were getting stuck on everything so they decided to remove them?
It could be someone dragged her into the swamp then it makes sense that they would toss away her personal items and take her pants off for whatever reason. It doesn't make sense that she would throw away her personal items no matter how afraid she was.

JB said he did not hire her for sex that night ( right..she was a sex worker, but he didn't hire her for that..). Did he hire her to check her out for another kind of event (SM?) or if she even was approachable for something completely different? Did she have to endure pain and thus thought "they were going to kill" her?

MK's role is not clear to me either at this point.

While there are mixed opinions with regard to Shannan's relationship to this case, we do know that, had she not made the 911 call, and had not her family's persistence in finding their loved one missing, these other murdered victims may never have been found. ( link ) Now, it certainly may turn out Shannan's case is completely unrelated to these. Then again, in light of proximity, the fact that she also used craigslist, and the odd witness accounts? What's that old saying? Imnsho, that's not a coincidence. that's a pattern.

That said, Shannan's missing person's thread contains useful info along with photos ( link ). There's also a wealth of information on the site set up by/for her family regarding both her case as well as the cases of the other victims. ( link )

I agree there are many things that don't make sense. Maybe she said no to some of JBs requests, hence the need for a mickey. Remember JB passed a lie detector test, but do we know the questions? Was it all about SG?

Maybe MP got frustrated with SG flipping out (his account was it wasn't the first time) so either let her run into the marsh, or threw her into the marsh. Fully expecting her to emerge calmed down. But she never. Hence his need to be shifty, because he did know where she went. He'd perhaps be liable for unintentional manslaughter or similar charge.

I wouldn't trust a word that comes out of PHs mouth personally, but there is just too much doubt to say he was involved that night. My personal theory is PH did give JB drugs, but before SG arrived. And it probably was to calm her down to the point where she's incapacitated, but she didn't take enough. PH wasn't in the house.

Of course as always, I have no proof and i am open to pursuation, i am not suggesting people will agree until we have facts.

The one remaining thing that bothers me is that they haven't released the 911 call. There is something on there that LE are holding back. Just what I can't phathom. By releasing it i'm sure we will all draw the same conclusion to what happened to SG. LI residents need to demand the release of the tape.

If her death was an accident then it was caused by the fact she was trying to get away from people, "They are trying to kill me", who wanted her dead.
Would you consider that the danger and threat was only in the mind of a person who was bi-polar and had a history of that kind of behavior? SG and MP had a pre arranged question for her to answer just for that situation.
And one more time, regarding the release of the 911 call. IT IS NOT LEGAL, IN SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y., FOR ANY 911 CALLS TO BE MADE PUBLIC. They can only be released with a court order, and nobody has gotten one yet.

Ok mcme, but perhaps someone needs to get a motion in place to change that law.

I agree totally. I thought they played the tragedy 9/11 attack's 911 calls on the news soon thereafter on all the news outlets.
It would take a dozen wild horses to keep me from hearing the 911 call if a child of mine was in any danger calling 911 pleading for help. Someone mentioned she was switched over to different operators in different districts while in fear she was in danger and someone was trying to kill her.

Is it possible they are covering their rear ends from a lawsuit if protocol was not followed. Calling 911 for 23 minutes and the calls were not registered or linked for some time.

I thought the other day: Why did LE not follow up calls to Shannon's phone that morning and when no answer (either she was in the process of dying, lost phone, or was dead) repeatedly, did they not send out enforcement to search for her. There were so many instances of neglect in her case. The officer at the scene should have had her phone called and if no answer assumed she was in danger. If this was someone other than a prostitute or someone of influence, there is no way it would have proceeded so carelessly.

The poor family not allowed to hear the recording. All her personal possessions found at the scene were lost. How does that happen?

It's the law in Suffolk County, not N.Y.C. SG's 911 call was not connected to the 911 call regarding a person knocking on doors in Oak Beach for some time for a few reasons. When she first called and was asked where she was, she responded with Jones Beach and was transferred to the department who has jurisdiction there. Most of her time on the phone was with them, and she still didn't know where she was. Once the call ended there was no way to track where she was. SCPD had no way of knowing about her call when they responded to Oak Beach that morning because of GC's and BB's 911 calls. They had a report of a girl looking for help and when they showed up there was no girl around. Speaking to GC they learned there was a man looking for her and it's completely reasonable to assume the guy and girl found one another, resolved their issue, and left.

The problem with this is she was not simply knocking on doors. She told 911 people were trying to kill her. She was running down the neighborhood streets with an SUV chasing her. It is not completely reasonable to make up a scenario as a policeman that you guess she is okay.

Why no follow up?
If you dial 911 right now, let it ring and hang up, they will call you back to find out what the matter is.
They were negligent by not calling a frantic girl yelling people were after her and were going to kill her. Her body laid out there in the elements for years.

I would think the state of NYC would have the plane technology of others states that flies overhead and locates bodies through some sort of magnetic imaging that can detect bodies underground.

She was unfortunately transferred to the NYSP who had jurisdiction of Jones Beach.

I agree that once that call ended they should have followed up by calling Shannan back, but they didn't and she died.

Now as far as GC, that poor man minding his business 4:30 in the morning gets that knock at the door. I'm glad he called the police immediately but the cop who showed up had to be a idiot for not following up and searching for Shannan just a little bit after finding out that Shannan was running from someone, then MP shows up driving the suv looking for a running away girl. That was such a dumb thing for him to think something was very wrong and that a girl who didn't live in that community was on foot, running, and he assumed, what??? That she walked home? That a strange man driving around looking for her just hopped into that car?

GC knew that when that car pulled up to his house that Shannan took off, meaning she didn't consider that to be a friendly face for whatever reason and she took off away from MP. I imagine GC told the cop who showed up exactly what Shannan did and said and he still didn't consider it important enough to continue looking for a girl in danger. He dropped the ball.

Then she met up with PH and she's gone forever.

It made sense with GC on a documentary, I cannot recollect on You tube, but she was at the door, and when he was speaking to her, the headlights from the vehicle shone and reflected off the door, and Shannon looked at the lights and ran.

What do you think about the way instances are worded. For example, many of times police were able to pick up on spouses who killed their missing spouse by how they spoke of them in the past tense before any facts were out that they were dead.

Shannon was saying that they are trying to kill me instead of they are going to kill me. This is what leads me to believe that there were more circumstances and actions on their part then merely Shannon imaging it.

Also Brewer, when questioned by the press said, I am not guilty of this one. Perhaps he does not feel his actions leading her to die out in the bush and her being in such fear to push herself past the brink of cutting her feet and plowing through a painful difficult marsh, they estimate was a 1/4-1/2 mile journey, was his fault because he had not manually finished the job.

There is a 48 hours segment on you tube that has two men following her path and the cracking hard sounds of the foliage under their thick boots are loud crunches. Her feet must have been really mangled and torn by the end of her plight. This goes to show me she was in great fear of her life.

My neighbors at my shore home have those same marshes in their backyards, you really can't walk them barefoot. Then you are talking about her removing her pants and shoes while fleeing and she would have been screaming out in pain as she "attempted" to travel through them.

That's why I don't believe she ran through them, I feel she was placed there, face up. PH denies anything to do with SG but let's face it, he definitely met up with her that morning and had access to her cellphone.... How else would he have had Mari Gilbert's phone number? How would he know she was missing if it hadn't even been reported yet to the local police?? Sure he could have talked to JB, but would JB have SG's mothers number to give to PH?? Doubtful, very doubtful....

My local news has a story on this case or maybe it's just speculation. A escort has gone public about James Burke and she's represented by John Ray. The escort Leann met JB in 2011 at a sex party in Oak Beach, although Leann states she wasn't a escort at that time, JB was throwing money at her thinking she was an escort..

He then told her she wasn't a good "*advertiser censored*." I don't know in what context he said that to her because she didn't say, but John Ray has now openly suggests that JB is LISK and is also involved in Shannan's case too. He is now on record saying that.

JB's attorney attorney, Joseph Conway states "more tabloid journalism than credible news." "All the allegations raised today are false and slanderous... to think otherwise is preposterous."

I think I'll have to think about all this before I can make any comment either way. John Ray does go for the dramatic's and he also said he "doesn't have the smoking gun yet to prove all of this." So who knows....

I know I wasn't expecting a escort to come forward with this kind of information, but then earlier on the news it does say there's a new witness coming foward.

Just woke up from a dream about Shannon Gilbert and she was content and shared a sip of her wine cooler with me. Way to go everyone ...I believe the necessary stones are on their way to being uncovered.

The latest update on Gilgo beach murders is that a prostitute named Leanne is alleged James Burke participated in very rough sex with her at drug/sex parties at an Oak Bay Home.MP told Gus Coletti he was looking for Shannon to bring her back to a party.Maybe James Burke was part of "they are trying to kill me" party group at JB house who Shannon was so terrified of. I would love to know James Burkes whereabouts on the night Shannon died.
