Did Jon go missing on the long weekend in May of 2013? It is likely that the couple who own the Mallory Crescent home went to their cottage that long weekend leaving it available to McArthur to have more privacy.

Police searching for Longueuil man who vanished 30 years ago
Pierre-Jean Durocher was 23 years old in 1986 when he disappeared, hasn't been seen since



Police are looking to speak to friends and former colleagues from the Harvey's restaurant he worked at in hopes they have information that may help solve the case.

Durocher was gay, and police think that could have made people reluctant to share information about him at the time.

"If you remember, 30 years ago it wasn't as easy, coming out," Voutsinos said.
Police are also hoping people who may have come across Durocher at the Longueuil rooming house he lived in, at gay bars or the saunas he worked at may know something about what happened to him.

I'm going to throw another long shot out there: Ricky Jones from Brantford, ON. Missing since Winter 1975. I don't have much evidence, just speculation. Ricky was last seen in winter 1975. He was attending a Graphic Design program at Sheridan College- putting him in the outskirts of the Toronto area. It is verified by a news article that he stopped attending or didn't reenroll in January 1976. There is a one year gap between contacting his family and his last known whereabouts. The CBC article states that he last used his SIN (SSN for our friends down south!) in 1980.

It is all speculation because we don't really know where Bruce MacDonald was living and working during the late 70's and its doubtful he has been killing since the early 80's. But it is worth a shot to mention it.

you can take Eugene Kim off the list - looks like his car was found today with remains inside. It was way out in the boonies, so doesnt look like a link to BM..
 
We don’t know the exact day Jon disappeared. Sometime after 4/24/13

Kevin Lionel McBride May 17, 1982 Toronto.

Both apparently lived alone and were stabbed to death at home.

This could be a long shot but I wonder if he was operating in the US at all?

There’s a cold case from July 1999, a gay man called Mark Dribin who disappeared from Portland Oregon. All signs point to foul play from someone he was involved with. He used to frequent The Eagle (which is a leather bar) so it might fit the MO of the perpetrator (he liked submissive men.)

As I say it’s a long shot because I don’t know all the background info but I wanted to put it out there. I feel like he probably didn’t start in the last 10 years and I wonder if he hadn’t started killing many decades back.

I don’t mean any upset (as I know his family member used to post here) but I felt like I should put it out there at least.
