Okay, maybe these look big because of the pictures, but could the threads we've seen on the floor be carpet fibers?

There's one fiber on the shower door frame, and these fibers are gathered right on the corner here, where it appears that she dragged his head and his hair, chopped up by her knife attack, smeared on the baseboard there. (am I correct in that conclusion?) Maybe those fibers from the corner there moved.

Looking at this, I'm starting to have the feeling that the close door was closed the whole time--at least until she needed the closet to leave after cleaning herself.

Anyways, the carpet looks light, but blood would darken them of course.

I don't remember seeing a picture of the office closet.

Ironically, he and the camera were in the bathroom mirror in front of the tub when he took that picture of him and the camera. In the police report, Zach said something about helping pick out the camera, as you know. I haven't looked back at it, but with all the time it took for Zach to figure out when things happened, I'm suspecting his idea of when he'd helped travis might not be accurate.

For example, too, Mimi thought her rock climbing date was in March or April. It was actually at the end of February (according to Jodi's diary, let me add).

I guess cameras can be expensive (just not that expensive), and maybe he wanted a nice one for his 1000 places trips. Which reminds me. On the sex call, Jodi was all "I wanna travel with you..." but indicated that she didn't have money. Travis was notable unresponsive to that comment. :facepalm:

What I think was notably missing from that call was any mention of who he was taking. And it was strange because they were discussing people he'd see and things he'd do on trips. They also discussed having the misfortune not to marry "freaky" people, so it seems odd to me that NOTHING about the "babysitter" and if she was ready for the trip, etc, would even be mentioned. Or am I reading too much into that?

yeah, back to the camera and box. There were other things on the desk that I am not sure would have been or that showed Travis wasn't so neat in there, like the empty CD tower. So did Jodi and Travis have sex on that desk? Was she bent over right next to the box and the empty CD tower? Humn....

I mean the office closet (lemme look for a pic, pretty sure I have one...okay, found it), from the looks of the desk drawer, someone went through that too, have no idea if this pic was taken before or after CSI.

I don't think any sex occurred in that room on that day.

Oh, I agree about the phone call and the trips discussion, didn't she say in testimony that she paid him back for some trips they took together? Whenever that call was recorded (and you're right it had to be within a certain time frame based on when she actually had that phone to record with) it doesn't seem like he was offering her anything other than phone sex at her prodding.

Okay, I see. In Flores' report, he said the first thing they did was photograph the scene. He said they photographed their "entry" and then processed the scene. I want to say that means the closet looks as it did, but we have pictures of things showing items in different places, doors opened or closed, so it's hard to know if they had or hadn't gone in that closet. I suppose we can assume that photos without evidence placards have to be how they saw it without touching anything.

As for his desk, we have two pictures of the desk. One has a picture or some sort on top of the sony box (the one you uploaded) and one has no picture of paper on top of the sony box. Or I am seeing things? You picture has no placards. Mine does. Also in mine, drawers are pulled out. They are not pulled out in yours. There's cardboard or maybe evidence bags in my picture on the desk, but not in yours. Also the closet door is closed in my picture, but open in yours.

The shower is put two or three feet from the closet corner. I'm thinking his body could have dragged them along. See the fibers in the middle of the second picture you posted. I think the forensic team dragged those in because they seem fresh, floaty and free of water or blood.

I just have to figure out where the fibers are throughout the hallway. can I access your pictures, Geevee? I remember I could in the spring without a flicker account. Or have you made them private?

I know that some things Mimi said in the report indicate that people had been talking to each other on the scene and she found out things about Jodi that very night. The report doesn't mention that Dan Freeman was on the scene, but I thought he'd said he was? There is mention of a "friend," and the friend told Flores Jodi wanted to speak to him. I thought Dan had said he'd told Flores that? Flores also notes in his report that he took friends who were there "originally" to the station for questions. That also leads me to think that some "friends" were there that Flores did not list in the report.

There are scads of them and unorganized so plan on a little time. And don't ask me why that pic of JA is at the front, they're supposed to appear in order of date uploaded, and I uploaded that one after one of the early hearings back in June or July, don't recall which month, but every time I upload more, the new ones show first and then when I open the album again, there she is, first pic showing. Bizarre. But I'm going to be installing Win7 pretty soon and I don't want to delete any pics from there in case I can't get all of them off the storage device and back in My Pictures after the new OS is in.

I thought the same thing, for roomies who said they had little idea about Travis' schedule and never hung out together, both knew details that seemed to conflict with that.

I'm pretty certain that camera was purchased after JA left Mesa, I have a recollection of someone saying less than 2 months before he died but I don't recall who, thought it may have been in the report.

Dan Freeman's interview isn't in the report? I'd have to look through it again too but I was pretty sure he was with those who found Travis, isn't he the one who called JA first and gave few details but said they were at his house and he was probably dead? I thought the bishop confirmed it to her later but I thought the original call came from DF.

I've been wanting to read those other interviews also but have no idea where to find them or if they've been made available publicly yet. I don't see why they wouldn't be but haven't seen a link or mention of anyone else reading them.

And no kidding, the last thing she was in Travis' life was a "secret", I found that whole line of defense not just questionable but jaw-droppingly stupid in light of all the other evidence to the contrary.

I don't believe she had the BMW plates on the rental, but I'm also not sure how having them correlates to what I was saying. Help me out with that. I think if anything, she'd have the Infiniti plates or no plates. I'm not sure why she would have removed the BMW plates from the BMW in April.

Do you mean shaved on the face? I'm not sure I agree with JM on Travis shaving that day. I do see the shadow in the picture that nurmi referred to. BUT I will say that if Travis had shaved that morning, then what we see could be a 5 o'clock shadow.

I understood the point JM was getting at with the shaving, and he did get Jodi to admit that she had been talking about shower pictures with Travis as far back as January when she'd taken the shaving picture, but JM failed to prove, in my opinion, that they'd talked about the shower pictures when Travis had been shaving on June 4th.

Why would you think he wouldn't shave for Mimi? That's why I was asking about his face. You think he wouldn't have shaved his pubic hair for Mimi?

I think Travis would shave his pubic hair for himself. I work at a CrossFit gym, and the men there talk about this. They shave to keep down odor. And it works for women, too. Odor gets trapped by pubic hair. So the men shave to keep down the odor. Some do it to make their organs look bigger--apparently. Some men don't like hair. Travis kept hair on his legs, so we can rule out him not liking hair as the lying Jodi said.

This could be true, but imagine what would have happened if Jodi happened to get pulled over with Travis' plates on her Redding rental car.

Thanks for the explanation on shaving pubic areas. :floorlaugh: I guess from my personal experience men don't normally shave down there unless it is for sexual reasons.

The BMW was her freedom and she needed it from Travis. The car needed repair, financing etc... Travis was holding it "hostage" so to speak. Maybe that was her reason to Travis to stop in Mesa on her way to SLC. She was coming over to pay up her debt? And maybe a little hanky panky.

I don't understand why Jodi needs the BMW. She had a car in Yreka. She drove it to Redding and left it at her sister's house when she got the rental. I'm also not sure her skater story would have worked if she'd had Travis' BMW plates. She could never explain how License plate belonging to Travis got on a rental car from Redding.
