I may be wrong about this, but I don't think that missionaries typicallly return home for holidays. My friends were always gone the entire duration of their mission. No returning home unless some kind of emergency.

You are correct Katydid!- They do not come home to visit during their mission- that is part of the point, as well as minimal communication home. They are supposed to be focusing on what they are there to do.

Hopefully my learning tomorrow is more along the lines of how JM decimates DT witnesses on cross.

You can be assured Phillip was busy making plane arrangements for Deanna and a number of live witnesses for the rebuttal case. Unlike these cowards of Jodi's, Travis' witnesses are all too happy to come take the stand and tell the truth for their friend. Indeed, I trust they are fired up ready!! Juan Martinez is going to have no mercy on this witnesses and Jodi Arias is going to find out in a hurry how truly misguided this Phantom 14 crap will turn out to be. This is going to blow up in her face worse than the gas cans.

The very odd thing is this defense team never thinks for one second hmmmmm if we do this....Juan will react with what? It is all so predictable, yet they do it anyway. I have never seen such self sabotage to one's own case, ever. I have also NEVER seen a judge allow the absurdity of what went on today.

Apparently there was a page, with writing in the margin, on some kind of a timeline made by the defense, ands it was written: Travis looks at child pic [ or something along those lines.] And even though JW was not speaking about it, it was visible on the overhead, in front of the jury, while she was speaking to the witness...very below the belt tactics, as usual...

Deanna tells Nurmi Travis told her about his rough upbringing. About the cockroaches and rat infested homes. About being hungry. About his parents being drug addicts. But he also told her he had pleasant memories of his mom. She threw birthday parties for him. Deanna said Travis dad had already passed away. But Travis showed her a video of his dad. That she could see how much he loved his dad. How proud Travis was that he had cleaned up before his death. Samantha and Stephen are crying.
Deanna says there was no physical abuse by his parents reported to her. She did meet Travis's mom.

I think it was Geffner's timeline - as he was reading these "events" from the affidavits and then incorporated them into the timeline to show a "pattern" of behavior with Travis "having child on his computer" (as stated by Wilmott whilst reading) and "abusive behaviors" toward former girlfriends for not wanting to get married.

Good find. Her testimony at the trial is in direct conflict with what this witness is reporting. Travis broke up with Deanna in the Summer of 2001 while she was still doing missionary work. Said he wanted to date others. They had only been dating a couple of months prior to her leaving for Costa Rica. She returned in November of 2001 and they did not start seeing each other and dating again until the beginning of 2002. This is in conflict to what he is reporting. Plus she testified he never hit her ever, did not yell at her, raise his voice, nor curse at her ever. He's toast.

This is a really good point. Total contradiction right there. All Juan has to do for this part is to show her testimony from last trial.

It does make you wonder how the DT could even allow the testimony from the affidative if there is this kind of total contradiction on the record. Are they that incompetant that they would not remember OR maybe they know something we dont know and they know Juan is going to be prevented from being able to counteract this.

I am really concerned that Juan may have his hands tied on this somehow.
Like maybe the judge will only let him cross Geff on the affidatives.

Those disgusting tactics of Lawrence could come back to haunt him. I'd expect Juan to ask her questions like:
- You testified in the original trial, right?
- And you were asked all sorts of personal and embarrassing questions by the defense team, weren't you?
- And then did you ever hear that some people were saying even more disgusting things about you on social media?
- Given all that, why didn't you just go into hiding and refuse to testify in public?

What is WAT saying here: "IT IS IN HIS record" I'm confused. Juan has his own record? This is the first I've heard that she squeezed the cat until it passed out. Ugh. Did everyone know this detail except me? Who told JM about that incident?

I think it was Geffner's timeline - as he was reading these "events" from the affidavits and then incorporated them into the timeline to show a "pattern" of behavior with Travis "having child on his computer" (as stated by Wilmott whilst reading) and "abusive behaviors" toward former girlfriends for not wanting to get married.

It was actually a part that wasn't being used or read from, it was jsut written somewhere and Willmott left it up there for everyone to see.

PFFT! Travis never insisted on the "outfit", we all know that. Nice touch on Jodi's part, kinda' like the braids, the cheerleader outfit and searching for trees to be tied up to. She seduced Travis with every little trite fantasy in her repertoire.

No imagination, just recreations of things in book or movies.

I still can't/won't EVER do certain candies again...Thanks Jodi.

I believe Jodi told it to Alyce Laviolette. Willmott's quip is a little disingenuous because it's been brought up several times by Juan. It is in her records. Judge would know this.
