Yes definitely. However, I don't think its too hard to imagine that if JA had attacked a guy who had a propensity toward violent behavior, then that person would have not hesitated in using violence to defended himself against his attacker. TA just wasn't that type of man, despite their best efforts to portray him as a violent, and abusive.
