I don't like that at all. I don't like the fact that she will now know mr. Martinez "tactics", if you will. And I don't like the fact that her manipulative lying self gets a do over and that there probably won't be any "walmart gas can" moments this time around. But I guess she can get overconfident in her twisted capabilities and get caught in another lie. And I guess mr. Martinez now knows more about how to handle Jodi as well. And he might get to replay the aha-gas-can-lie via video at this retrial again..
 
It seems to me they should just roll the entire video of the first trial for this jury. Then no testimony is revised or changed. Of course nobody's got time for that!

In other Jodi Arias updates, her mitigation specialist Maria de la Rosa is under more scrutiny than ever. The Toronto Relationships Examiner recently reported a leaked audio that was released last week from someone in the Jodi Arias camp. The leaked audio was a telephone recording between Jodi Arias and a member of an organization that has been helping Jodi Arias raise funds. We have learned that all documentation regarding that leaked recording has a trail with many fingers pointing back to Maria de la Rosa as a key member involved in that phone call.

If Maria de la Rosa is in fact associated with that phone call, that would mean she is also aiding and abetting a jail inmate in not only participating in third party phone calls, but also in recording them. She would also be either directly associated with someone that disseminated that call to the public, or be directly involved with that activity herself.

If she is involved in these activities, she would be not only breaking Maricopa County Jail regulations, she may even be seen to be breaking the law. In May 2013, Jodi Arias was found guilty of first degree murder and guilty of aggravated factors making her eligible for the death penalty for the 2008 murder of her lover Travis Alexander. In the first two phases of the Jodi Arias trial, the guilt and aggravation phases, the jury was unanimous in finding her guilty.

If they take away the sidebars, it probably wouldn't be a long video at all. Just kidding.. But honestly I'd be disappointed if JM didn't get to show his "highlights".

I would hope so. But has that been reported elsewhere? Because examiner.com is kind of like wikipedia. I think just about anyone can publish on that site.

Is the audio being spoken about online?

What does Jodi need money for???? To payoff the people coming to testify on her behalf??

I'd like to know what has been promised to these people. A cut of book or movie deals?

Please hang on before you do that, ATL. First, I need to notify the point mods on the particular cases. Also, we haven't made good use of the calendar function before except for a few high profile cases. I think we will need to limit it to the Trials Forum only right now. Basically, keeping up with scheduled hearings, trial dates, etc. Let me consult with the mods before we go much further. I do think it is a wonderful function & resource we should use! Just don't want the mods getting overwhelmed with PMs & requests before I have a chance to run it by them.

Thanks for the great suggestion and keeping us on our toes! Promise to be back in touch after we all have a quick calendar refresher course. :D

I'm not a lawyer but one thing you always hear is never ask a question you don't know the answer to. She asked him, actually she was telling him, that he had no medical evidence that it passed through the brain. He said very vehemently, yes I do. She asked again. Yes, I do. But you have no MEDICAL. Evidence. Cue wtf face...yes I do. Are you sure? YES. She lost the plot with that cross examination. Sometimes I can understand why Jodi wants to represent herself. And I remember her emphasizing the severity of the bullet wound. She also had similar gaffe later on, something directed at Dr. Demarte about not being able to interview the dead.

BUT thank you for reminding me of what Horn exactly said about expansion of gas. And thank you for your posts! A very appreciated welcome to WS!
