#JodiArias sits still, no crafting. She is looking forward at Willmott and Smith.

Willmott points out these copies or clones are meant to be worked on. Smith agrees. #JodiArias

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 1m1 minute ago
Willmott asks if Smith has the exact image of the original hard drive at Mesa PD. Yes.

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 1m1 minute ago
The copies u have of the hard drive is an analysis correct? It's not an exact image? You have the exact image correct? #jodiarias #3tvarias

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 52s53 seconds ago
Willmott gets Smith to say that the drives he examined were copies that were worked on, not the original evidence.

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 37s38 seconds ago
Perry- Yes and analysis not exact image. I have the exact image from 2008 #jodiarias #3tvarias

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 3m3 minutes ago
Willmott then gets Smith to say it's a violation of policy to turn on the computer and presses him as to letting "civilians" do it. He balks

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 2m2 minutes ago
Willmott- If someone from Mesa PD turned on computer does that violate policy?
Perry-Yes but it doesn't include defense turning it on

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 1m1 minute ago
Willmott- Without a write blocker and the computer is turned on it is modified correct?
Perry- Yes #jodiarias #3tvarias

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 53s53 seconds ago
Willmott gets to the copies. "They're not the actual evidence are they?" Smith: "No, they're not."

So it's ok that Neumeister tried to add/delete info cuz it wasn't actual evidence? Just his fake clones that he tried to pass as evidence? Give me a break.

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 57s58 seconds ago
Willmott- When you talk about these 9,000 modified files & the incinerator it is just on the copies that have been worked on correct?
Yes

“When the law is on your side, you argue the law. When the facts are on your side, you argue the facts. But when nothing is on your side, you just argue.” :drumroll:

I was taught to "pound' the facts, when that failed, "pound" the law, when that failed, POUND the table.

I thought Willmott gave up the "prosecutorial misconduct" and had moved onto *advertiser censored* - at least that was her objection a little while ago.

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 39s40 seconds ago
Willmott asks if *advertiser censored* was found on the 2008 image. Long pause, then Smith says yes. And that it's not the same as the clones.

Forgive my ignorance, but why is it nobody is addressing what is in the 2008 image/clone if that is the one true copy???

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 43s44 seconds ago
Perry- It's a describing link and Det. Brown did find some *advertiser censored* on the computer.#jodiarias #3tvarias

From WAT:

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial · 41s 41 seconds ago

Smith goes over the registry, and that they are commands and doesn't indicate that a person went to that link. #JodiArias

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial · 4s 4 seconds ago

Juan wants to know if the general guidelines address defense attorneys and them handling computers.

No it does not says Smith. #JodiArias

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 55s56 seconds ago
Juan- But the links are on the registry correct?
Perry- Correct except a YouPorn link #jodiarias #3tvarias

Michael Kiefer ‏@michaelbkiefer · 42s43 seconds ago
Martinez redirect: Smith repeats that list of *advertiser censored* sites on registry doesn't mean the user went there.

Lolwat?

Jen's Trial Diaries ‏@TrialDiariesJ · 31s32 seconds ago
Juan- You were asked about Mesa PD guidelines. Does it address def attorney's and their right to look at computers?
Perry- No. #jodiarias

now I totally get it. Very important point too.

Correct. They are both exact copies, but the image is compressed and protected. The image is what you use for forensic purposes because you know it hasn't been changed and won't change by you looking at it.

BN gave Juan clones, so Juan's expert can't look at them without changing them.

Willmott going over the copies of the HD now.

Smith has the exact image from 2008 back at Mesa PD. #JodiArias

Yup! IIRC, they made a proper mirror image with Encase and write block. They then copied the disk they made to work from. The original is like the Holy Grail.

 Now that the DT has wasted time on this, I wonder that they will do next for a red-herring to delay the trial so they can get to their end of January target?
