I remember a particular letter she wrote, I don't remember to whom, but it was regarding a gathering about Travis, possibly his funeral or memorial, although she attended his memorial so I don't think it was that, but it was about the scuttlebutt in the community about her possible involvement in Travis' death. To paraphrase:

"It has come to my attention that rumors are circulating about my possible involvement in Travis' death. I request that any discussions of this matter to please include, in the interest of fairness, the fact that one is to be considered innocent until proven guilty."

It's nuts, and shows the level of control she sought to impose, and the primary importance to her of her image, how she was perceived. Her social life had no depth. Her appearance to others was the beginning and the end of reality to her in terms of social interaction. What she actually did didn't matter, as long as she got away with it and it didn't tarnish her image, it was fine.

Does anyone remember that letter, who it was sent to and when?

She wrote it to the company Travis worked for. Think they were having a convention or meeting. Prepaid Legal was the name. She is insane.

I hear you. I disagree on your point , though, about her being a sadist. I think she is. There are too many examples of her causing gratuitous pain to people she wasn't targeting for me to believe otherwise.

And for me, the pity isn't misplaced. There is something wrong with those brains; sociopathy isn't a lifestyle choice. The sociopathic may not know what they're missing, but I do.

IMO, life is about the opportunity to love and be loved, to connect with our huge beautiful awesome world, to belong in a community, and to feel the happiness and deep satisfaction of contributing something meaningful.

None of that? Just an abyss? Yes, I think that is to be pitied.

That's true, I suppose sadistic and sexually sadistic are two different things. Sociopaths do seem to derive a sense of glee from hurting or ruining others.

Sociopathy isn't a choice. It's not a lifestyle. But they are not delusional. They control what they do and they make conscious choices and they choose what path they want to take. Jodi chose to kill. She has no one and nothing to blame but Jodi.

And I do, again, agree it is sad to live such an empty, selfish existence. But it's a waste of energy to express it to them. Sociopaths find it a waste of energy. Again they don't care. Back to her supporters. They are so self congratulatory, thinking Jodi will appreciate them and they're support. They're just more people to be manipulated, to her. She doesn't appreciate it. It amuses her. It amuses her that she can get this story past people, and it amuses her to see people so unendingly guillable. It's her fuel at this point.

Wow JA finally became a somebody. She's a leader of a bunch of nuts. Maybe she can tell the jury when she's up there. Add it to her list of things she does/will do if they spare her life...

Last thought before I go back to enjoying a CMJA-free day.

About that 3 page letter to her supporters, whoever they may be. What's interesting to me about the letter is her obsession with that little mess.

Her two tiny camps of supporters still poke at each other in private dark holes, but the big blow up happened many weeks ago and is over with. Why the looooong letter so long after the fact?

I have an image of her in her cell, 23/24, raging because she can't control each and every one of her little band of supporters, can't prevent them from acting in her name.

I bet for her that lack of control is much worse than playing the starring role as victim in a courtroom drama.

for me it all boiled down to money. She didn't mind the everyone loves me so much they fight over me stuff but when it affect $$$ she got all preachy. She almost acts like she's running the cult of jodi.

She wants her supporters to keep the money flowing once she's in Perryville. She needs funds for a fan (115 degrees) and a TV.

I read a book, Slumber Party From Hell, by a lady who did 7 years in Perryville. She considered her pre trial and trial period at Estrella Jail a much worse environment. Much louder and very volatile place.
She was a medium to minimum security inmate in Perryville and had access to programs, visitation and work. She also had cancer and went through chemo and radiation while in custody. Brutal

BBM: 118-119 is NOT unusual in June and July (it HAS gotten up to 123). When the monsoon hits, it's even more brutal with the humidity. Add in the haboobs <what they now call Arizona dust storms, and it's as close to hell on earth as you can get. CMJA isn't in "Tent City" so she has no clue how miserable she is going to be.
I don't see CMJA's family or "friends" venturing out to the prison on a regular basis, after 2 years of it they'll throw in the towel.

Can't think of a better prison for CMJA to be in.

I'm reposting my lil pix of trial testimony days for y'all. The days in blue are the ones that the jury actually got to hear some testimony. Not necessarily all day, mind you, but something is better than nothing. :blushing:

View attachment 65222

I went back and reviewed all of the time the jury was present in the courtroom. I took off 30 min each day for 2 breaks of 15 min ea daily - allowing time to leave & enter on 10 min breaks. Here is what I came up with:

Trial Days – Jodi Arias Retrial – Jurors present
10/21/14 9:30 – 12:15 & 1:45 - 4:30 (4 hrs)
10/22/14 9:45 – 12 & 1:30 – 4:30 (4:45h)
10/23/14 10 – 12 & 1:30 jury sent home (1:45h)
10/27/14 9:45 – 11:50 & 1:30 – 4:15 (4:15h)
10/28/14 9:30 – 12:05 & 1:30 – 4:00 (4:30h)
10/30/14 9:30 – 12:00 & 1:00 – 4:30 Pm witness secret (3pm doors locked) (5:30h)
11/3/14 1:30 – 3:30 (guessing since courtroom closed) (2h)
11/12/14 9:50 – 12:00 & 1:30 – 4:30 (4:45h)
11/13/14 10:15 – 11:50 & 1:00 – 4:00 (4h)
11/17/14 9:45 – 11:50 & 1:30 – 2:50 Emergent situation closed court end of day (3h)
11/24/14 10:00 – 12:00 & 1:30 – 4:30 (4:30h)
11/25/14 10:00 – 12:05 & 1:30 – 3:45 (3:45h)
12/2/14 9:45 – 12:00 & 1:30 – 4:15 (4:30h)

Jurors present 51:15 hrs in 8 weeks of trial to date

ETA: There were 10 more possible days of trial which could have added another 55 hours of jurors being able to hear testimony.

Do the VIP fans get special perks? Personalized poems in Jodi's not-the-least-bit-unique, uncreative, immature style? VIP rubber bracelets? Maybe just the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from knowing they contributed a certain dollar amount towards overturning Jodi's wrongful conviction? As opposed to her non-important supporters? The disgustng just keeps on coming.

I dunno................maybe they should offer bumper stickers...........

So if this was in June are both effectively the same time then? If so where does the one hour difference come into it then? Or have I got your seasons mixed up. Or is it the end of June that the times become the same. See Dmacky I told you I went down the rabbit hole LOL

DST would have been in effect on June 4 in all states that observe it. There would be a time difference during DST (summer) but not during standard time (winter).

for me it all boiled down to money. She didn't mind the everyone loves me so much they fight over me stuff but when it affect $$$ she got all preachy. She almost acts like she's running the cult of jodi.

Yep, as far as her determining who's for or against her, it doesn't take her long.
"show me the money."

Hi Wen...I started to do this too, based on BK notes, and including time spent on sidebars (some lasted over 9 min. and they averaged about 10 per a 4 hour day).

IIRC, the jury heard about 19 hours of testimony in the first 4 weeks, the majority of that in week 1, the synopsis of last trial phase.

:gaah: Pathetic ... absolutely pathetic !

IF I were a juror on this re-trial, I would :hills: :hills::hills::hills::hills:

:seeya: And Thank You, wenwe, for putting this together !!!

I don't doubt you one bit with all the sidebars. It was just too time consuming to add up all the sidebars (and trying to guess from all the tweets how long they lasted). Not every sidebar was noted and most were not even commented on whether or not the objection was sustained or overruled. It was hard to determine whether the sidebar lasted a few seconds or a few minutes.

Please don't interpret an abstract pity for the soulless as my absolving CMJA in any way!!! Eek!

And, I wouldn't express my pity to a sociopath in person because I wouldn't dream of allowing one in my life in any capacity. Feeling pity doesn't mean wanting to kiss them to make them feel better.

Sure do agree that she's using her supporters. The funny part is they are absolutely using her as well. It'll be a tie who dumps who first.

My bet is supporters ditch her first, as they go looking for a new earth Angel in the news to glom onto.

I admire you for trying to piece it together from tweets!! Yikes. BK provides a minute by minute chronology for trial days. Makes it much easier, tho still time consuming.

Come on MeeBee, you trying to confuse me more LOL. I can't work out what he's trying to say, but we all know that Juan knows. I'm sure he'll let us in on it eventually. This & the timestamps on the bedroom photos have to mean something, are we going to find out during the hearing or is JM setting BN up for something when he testifies in the trial?

It is confusing since all we have is what the tweeters are reporting (and some snippets from Beth's paid site), I don't think it has as much to do with time zones as it does whether or not Travis unticked the box to have Windows adjust automatically for DST - to me that seems the most likely scenario for JM pointing out that times of his laptop are an hour ahead of actual AZ time. Once we see the video, or hopefully when the hearing continues we'll get more information about this. Below I pasted all the tweets from the other 2 threads about the time and Spybot, just so we keep in mind what we've been told:
--

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- It says changed on 12/2007. What's the date of the access time 6/4/2008 at 2:44 #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- But it's actually at 1:44pm not 2:44pm. SO this means TA was accessing Spy Bot on this date & time
Bryan- Yes #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- Was this installed at June 3, 2008?
Bryan- It could be installed and re installed #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- When was it installed on June 3, 2008?
Judge has called recess until 1:30pm #jodiarias #3tvaria

After lunch:

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- was SpyBot run in May of 2008?
Bryan- He needs to do more things to find this information out #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- May 27th, 2008 after 11pm is was run?
Bryan- I can't give exact info with running a report #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- Go to May 27th, 2008
Bryan- Well there is mortified and change #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan-Go to that one
Bryan- why would you want me to go to that one
Juan basically says just do it #jodiarias #3tvarias

@TrialDiariesJ: Juan- So you can't tell me anything
Bryan- I needed to know this ahead of time #jodiarias #3tvarias
---

That's the end of the time/Spybot discussion as far as I can see.

Aaaand we're here again, thanks Harmony2 for the food

I hear you. You were talking about the fact that they'll never feel love or anything genuine. It is sad, I agree

I guess I look at JA like I do Nelly on Little House on the Prairie.

A spoiled brat, always has to have her way. If not she will kill you.

I'm confused. :blushing: :dunno:
Court doesn't resume this morning?
Forgive me..I'm at work and trying super hard to read everything but my screen minimizing is soooo obvious :hiding:

It was postponed until tomorrow. The jury won't be present, it will be more of the computer/*advertiser censored* testimony.
