I've said it before but the one thing I need JM to do is get the good doc to admit that what the Hughes might consider "abuse" might just be a guy dating women casually.

Regarding Dr. F's disrespectfulness....

This is the most disgusted I've been in this trial. Shocking and shameful that this is happening in an American courtroom.

I'll bet JM has a strategic reason not to ask JSS for an admonition, as he did with ALV. We could have had many by now! But in the meantime, Dr. F is shooting herself in the foot big time. JSS might have her own reasons for letting the witness mouth off, and they may well have nothing to do with the appealability of the sentence. I say, we let the situation unfold and let Dr. F defeat herself sooner rather than later.

It's not, imo. I cried in pain and anger after reading Nurmi's first day of direct. It physically made me ill to hear what he and the good doc were trying to do to Travis yet again.

I find it incredible that the DT would go after the pedo angle with “evidence” that is so easily shredded. Trying to “prove” it doesn’t even address the mitigators as outlined by Nurmi, does it? IMO, that entire line of BS came at JA’s insistence.

Not at age 14 it's not! And I did grow up in Southern California.

Gosh, I meant this very differently than its being taken. Rose said she was 31 now and had never seen it (something to that effect). I really was surprised. I certainly am not proud of it but at 14 I had been exposed to it, for quite awhile, unfortunately. I wish I could take my comment back but its been quoted now a lot. I didn't mean it the way its being taken and now I feel really bad.

I wonder if it will be lost on the jury that when it comes to Jodi arias and her behavior it's either, "I don't know," or "that's irrelevant," or "I'm not here to discuss that," or "Jodi who?" And she is supposed to have interviewed her. She didn't even know she was holding Jodi's journal in her hands. She also makes excuse after excuse for her.

But when it comes to Travis, remarkably, she has all of his bad behavior committed to memory.

"He was a bad Mormon."

"He snuffed her out of the relationship."

"He made her rip pages out of his journal."

"He pushed her on the ground and kicked her in the ribs and broke her finger."

"He's a pedophile."

Selective memory is a hell of a thing.

 

[Love Never Fails]

Not being able to view the trial, and even having only a few tweets to read today, this was by far my favorite day of trial since it began in January, 2013. To see Juan take this defense apart lie by lie and destroy this lying witness's credibility while doing so was so very satisfying.

When Nurmi told the judge that this defense would be scrutinized for years, he didn't realize that it would be a self fulfilling prophecy and that Juan Martinez would make sure it happens. (Thank you Mr. Martinez!)

Jodi caused all of this. But I am happy tonight that she brought Kirk Nurmi, Jennifer Wilmott and Maria de la Rosa (and the liars tesifying for her) down with her.

Yes I am sure JA is pacing in her cell knowing the day is coming!
