Well she did receive those threatening postcards from the ninjas when she was first in jail.

Did that really happen? If so did they find out who sent them?

Nooo, she did not keep them....too scarey!

But somehow they got through the jail mail system?

She *destroyed* them. She made mention of them in the "48 Hour Mystery" program.:facepalm:

This is JMO, but I have been wondering IF Nurmi has had some "outside" help on this case ?

In other words, I do not believe Nurmi is that smart, and he is certainly not impressive in the courtroom. I wonder IF some of the DP opponents have gave Nurmi suggestions/strategies on issues such as: how to get the DP off the table, how to delay, how to get a mistrial, etc ? Oh, and I don't mean someone like a Baez, who only got lucky with a brainless jury.

Nurmi is up against one of the best prosecutors in the country, and he is certainly NO match for Juan Martinez !

Yet Nurmi has been able to delay this re-trial way past the Dec 18 deadline, got JSS to agree to allow CMJA testify in private which is against the Constitution ... then you have the computer fiasco ... and y'all know all the rest of Nurmi's BS tactics.

And yep, JSS's lack of control of her courtroom has contributed to the problem !

There is no doubt Juan can handle Nurmi and the DT's BS ... but these stunts Nurmi has pulled and will continue to do is totally and completely unfair to Juan !

I am tired of the favoritism that exists in that courtroom for the defense and no consideration for Juan and the Alexander Family !

Last I knew court closed Monday for Juan to have time to interview Sue Doe Nimh. There was a 4 pm discussion (closed courtroom) on Monday (I think) and something yesterday.

Do we have more info on what might be going down next?

Are the jurors showing up each morning only to be sent home?

Any info is helpful - TIA!

Also found out on that site that TA didn't sell her the BMW. She used his car to go pick up the moving van and car trolley for her Infinity, and was towing the BMW back to his house when she blew the engine.

On purpose.

I did not know that the murderer had simply borrowed Travis' BMW. News to me. Thanks!

News to me too! Wouldn't his car insurance have covered the total loss? Why was she buying it from him (on the easiest payment plan I've ever heard of) then?

They've had status conference meetings at the end of the day on Monday and Tuesday, so I think the only day the jurors were sent home this week was Monday.

I picked 6-4-2015 for the jurors to announce their verdict to "Ma'am" Arias. The significance of that particular date would be poetic justice. Sorta' like "what goes around comes around..." JMO

I chose Feb 29 because the media motion will be dealt with tomorrow and it looks like porngate will be addressed in the courtroom tomorrow. The judge has said she won't wait for the court of appeals decision so most of the holdups should be dealt with soon.

We all know once Juan gets up things move along fast.

At this point, I haven't entered panic mode about losing jurors. If they start dropping I will, but I think they're in for the long haul.

At the risk of getting hammered with rotten tomatoes, I kinda hope the jury takes a week to deliberate. I feel like the DT deserves to wait for an answer after the games they've played. Once the jury gets the case, they hold all the power for a change. Waiting for the decision will be excruciating for them. (Well us too, LOL.)

I'll be here until the end, but sometimes I have to take a step back to avoid WS jail myself.

My grandson's is Valentines Day, so I pick it. A big Happy Valentine day for all of us. I'd hate for it to go to May 23. That was our 39th anniversary, and the day of the mistrial, thanks to WZ.

I think it was Tuesday, June 10. Mimi went by his house the night before they were to leave for Cancun. She didn't see him at church on Sunday and hadn't been able to get in touch with him. They were supposed to leave for Cancun the next morning.

Here's what she told Det. Flores about the car/payments during her phone call with him:

DF: Yeah.
JA: and even when things were bad between us, he was always…he would give his last…He would give his last dollar…his last whatever. He um…He was selling me his BMW, and I was actually supposed to e-mail

DF: Yeah, you mentioned that. You kind of burned it out or something.
JA: Yeah. Well, you said you found my check…in his house?

Um…we were trying to figure out between my lawyers and his lawyers and Prepaid Legal and the insurance and U-Haul who was going to be held liable and, you know, it didn’t matter who was held liable, the fact was, that was a debt that I promised to pay and it’s just money and it isn’t worth, you know anything so um…I mean as far as him getting any (?) tensions over so um…He would never…He never had any doubt that I would pay him back but he was trying to do what was difficult because he was trying to um…work with the insurance um…to hold U-Haul accountable over how it had all gone down. He said the engine just blew up

JA: Yeah. He still has the… He was going to hold the title until I paid it, the balance in full.

DF: Okay. Did you guys have a written contract or anything?
JA: I had yeah … what I did is I typed out an e-mail to him and I sent it and um…I just wrote back, “Just reply, I agree if you agree with this,” and he wrote back um…something about you didn’t say anything about you’re on your own insurance and so I said, Okay and amended that, I think, and then wrote back to him, and so that was our agreement. Our agreement was I pay him what I can each month until the balance is paid off, and I…I take care of general maintenance like oil changes and tires and things like that.

She wasn't buying it. She was paying him restitution for trashing his car. Neither his or her insurance would cover it, due to her negligence.
