He did indeed. And maybe he meant it or maybe he was trying to call Nurmi's bluff about refusing to have her go back on the stand until...whenever.
My point is how quickly Nurmi seized on JM saying it, and how quickly he turned it into the DT's "position."
Why would he seize on JM saying he wanted the testimony stricken? Nurmi was otherwise in the middle of saying no decision had been made nor would be made anytime soon about her resuming the stand.
I probably don't have it right, but when I read the transcript, I took it to mean that since Juan wants her testimony stricken then he cannot cross examine her that somehow him stating that makes him lose his right to cross or something.
