Again, just because these defense docs say it - that means it's true???!!!:please:

Geffner says Jodi didn't "fake it" on the testing

Mm hm. And JA also didn't want to scratch/hurt TA. And her PTSD is from TA's abuse that day, not from her killing him.

Got it, Geff. That totally makes sense to me now. Thanks for clarifying!

I wonder how JA feels about that, while she is holed up in her little cell eating her tofu-baloney sandwich...

sidenote to Geff~ just let the "For Men Only" go... It's not working for you...

I think Geffner would actually seem like a more credible psychologist if he didn't dye his hair black. This chasing after youth makes him appear to have his own issues!

I need that tweet translated, please. WTH does it mean!!!?

I received my Psychology degree from CWRU, Cleveland, OH...this guy is a consummate quack and needs to be reported, sanctioned etc. A complete and utter idiot.

I worked at S&W, in Central TX with psychiatrist, and in the psychology dept. Everything to do with patients was so discreet. The tests given were very confidential, and the result were kept in sealed envelopes inside each patients records. (even when transferring to everything being on computer records) I, in no way, would believe that a Dr. at S&W, if put in the position of testing JA, for instance, would ever sit across the table from anyone even someone such as a prosecutor and discuss answers to a test.
So I don't understand how people think it is OK. jmoo. What do you think?

That's weird. Not time yet to review them. Juror problem?

It's pretty normal for juror questions to be collected during breaks.

The entire DT suffers from a "shared delusional disorder". Jeez, this is so unreal that these tweets are even allowed .

Freedom of speech--gotta take the bad with the good.:)

Geffner said DeMarte bounced back and forth between two tests and wasn't clear to jury about that

How does Geff know that???? He isn't supposed to know other witness testimony??????????

Was Geffner allowed to stay in the courtroom while state witnesses testified? Or did no one inform him not to follow the trial in any way, not even by tweet? He seems to be able to elaborate in his answers as if he knows specifically what the DT hopes to refute before actually asking him to refute it. What's up with that?

It's fine for experts to know about/watch opposing experts' testimony. They can even sit in the courtroom if they want.

I thought his argument was that he, and he alone, could interpret and relay the info to the jury. No questions and no answers allowed to be seen or discussed.

I see what you are saying, regarding questions and answers. Thank you, that helped me understand Geffner's objection better. Cynically, I still think this is nothing more than a defense maneuver to prevent the prosecutor from presenting specific damning "data points" to dispute the PTSD testing, but I'll acknowledge that Geffner could have a genuine concern regarding the questions and answers making their way to the general public.

Another excellent post!!! I have never, ever seen this behavior in court. I've watched a lot of trials, death penalty ones, I've heard judges admonish the attorneys and witnesses over things far less than what's going on here. They're far from professional & proven not trust worthy. I've never heard a defense witness say things to a prosecutor as ALV, Geff, forsuka, the comp techs, etc. have in the first place! But, in JSS court they can not only say it but get away with it !!!!

Thank you. I didn't think I was alone and now I know I am not and many have expressed the same opinions about this one case who have been trial watchers for many years or decades.:)

This is the only case that I can ever remember that seems to have no boundaries or guidelines in the courtroom that must be followed. It seems if it is the defense side saying any disparaging thing they can think of its a free for all and can be said without admonishment from the Judge.

It really has been like an all out slug fest throughout this part of the case. One man stands alone among all the slime that is thrown at him and the victim.

I do know this it sure wouldn't happen in a Georgia courtroom. The many cases I have seen in Georgia the presiding death penalty Judge runs a very tight ship and has full control of what goes on in his or her courtroom. And believe it or not makes rulings immediately instead of finally deciding days or weeks or months later. And believe it or not refuses sidebars.

If all of these antics being displayed in this case had gone on here in my state someone would be getting heavy sanctions and a big dressing down right in front of the jury and they could also spend some time in the county jail. And in death penalty cases I have seen the Judges are even more in control and all parties are expected to be respectful to each side and to the Judge as well and if it doesn't happen then someone's head is going to roll compliments of the Judge. For instance: KN called DM 'doctor death' and Juan objected and it was sustained. BUT then even knowing it was wrong he called her Doctor Death again. That is nothing but thumbing his nose at the Judge would had already made it damn clear he wasn't to say it further.

That is why I say I don't think any of us will ever see another trial quite like this one. If the DT cried prosecutorial misconduct any other Judge would tell them they better be able to prove it and in short order. The prosecutorial misconduct claim sure wouldn't be tried before the jury listening to the case either but would be determined by the Judge only and in short order after the hearing was held.

This is a very bizarre case..........so much so I will never watch another AZ case unless Juan is the prosecutor, and hopefully if so, there will be a no nonsense Judge at the helm.

It is like two trials are going on and none of them have to do with the actual murderer.

1. Juan is on trial for supposedly prosecutorial misconduct right in front of this jury who has no power to find him guilty.
2. The victim TVA is on trial.

JA was not Geffner's patient. There is no patient confidentiality at issue whatsoever.

:eek::eek:

eeeeek......death stare smirk.... Probably looking at Alexander family....

I don't believe they do know...but in reality, the defense hasn't actually presented borderline themselves at all. Only DeMarte has introduced borderline - which the defense seemed to lap up but then also sought to discredit her. I think it renders borderline a moot point.

IIRC, the closest Geffner came was mentioning other people thought Jodi was bipolar. They seem to be resting all their hopes on PTSD, abuse, pedophilia, *advertiser censored*, *advertiser censored*, and imaginary *advertiser censored* and throwing borderline in as an afterthought for a mitigator without presenting any evidence of their own to support it.

JMO

I thought Borderline was on the DT's list of mitigators at the start of this retrial? And they are pounding home that it is a mental illness.

They want the jury to accept she is mentally ill--they do not care what illness they accept that she has, as long as they accept she has one. They want PTSD but are open to Borderline if that is the one the jury is more willing to accept.

Am I mistaken that it was on their pre-retrial list of mitigators? I know they listed mental illness but it seems to me they had Borderline listed also. I thought at the time how odd that was since they pooh-poohed that idea the first time around.

I'd like the jury to be aware of everything that the DT now embraces that they had kicked to the curb initially.

I just read the JSS response to Nurmi multi demands for (Motions) the DP to be removed and the case dismissed because of Pros misconduct and multi other reasons including Sheriff Joe's abuses of JA. tossing her cell, giving her HepC and not treating her medically. {she had a fungus) also claimed the sheriff leaked some of her letters to media. JSS dismissed them all and said no grounds for dismissal of DP or dismissal of charges. But what shocked me was she said if JA's witnesses were afraid to testify they could tesify thru the mitigation witness. If that is what it sounds like I would object strenuously if I was Juan. This woman is not to be trusted with anyones testimony and maybe that is why Nurmi hasn't done just that because Juan could impeach her and charge her with suborning perjury. One more thing, JSS mentioned in her rulling, that DT has repeatedly filed the same motions over and over again and they have already been rulled on. She even stated the COA had rulled on one of them so why is this man allowed to use tax payer money to continue to file frivolous motions again and again. As far as Sheriff Joe is conserned, I bet he Hates JA and wants her gone ASAP. He has let this evil murderess have one interview after another and she is now spoiled and thinks she is being denied access to the media.:tantrum:

W is saying DeMarte stated she had to go over the questions with the prosecutor so he could understand the process...#jodiarias #3tvarias

Exactly correct--the damn test has no meaning without understanding what the questions are--Dr. DM is required, ethically, to provide consultation on the test and its results. Surely, the jury understands there is a monumental difference between consulting with the Prosecutor as to the meaning of the test questions and answers versus showing him the actual test questions--there is no way you would make me believe that Dr. D just willy-nilly handed over to JM the actual test itself without being legally required to do so...I mean really!!!

For God's sake this DT makes me crazy with their manipulations and machinations, and their persistence in playing loose and fast with the truth.

I guess I am confused then. If no one can see or review the questions on these tests without a license in some sort of mental health, just how are the tests administered? Don't the test takers have to see or hear the questions to answer them?

Excellent Point!
