Good Morning Everyone! I am thinking about not listening to the def this morning. As last trial, I think it will be JW with her hands on the killer's shoulders, in her whiney voice, "Will you kill her?". Heck, this time, it might be her & MLDR hugging & kissing the murderer! It upset me so much last time, I don't think I can take it.

Hang in there, they can't go more than 3 hours today, can they? What else can they say about her that's not already said. They never had much material to work with...

Just hoping he is okay............as far as standards of "OK" are in such a case.

It's too bad that her hateful acts (donations in his name, contacting national enquirer, interviews) after the murder cannot be brought in. They show who she truly is. The jurors know about 1/3 of what we know about Marc McGee and Jodi Arias. It seems unfair somehow.

Speaking of unfair, I wish I could pull up the interrogation video of JA and Flores where Jodi wails that "...it's so unfair...." and when Flores tells her reality is finally settling in....she immediately talks about what she will now miss in her life. As an afterthought, she then includes what Travis will miss.

As far as DP, I want what Travis' family wants.

And I want to thank WS for giving us a platform to discuss trials, and I am so glad Tricia has kept this site going through thick and thin. This is a great site with great people, mods and commenters! Group hug!

Any other case I would agree but this case always goes against logic. Logic says they have said it all and there is nothing left for them to say, but histroy tells us having nothing to say has not stopped these people from talking nonstop for days on end. I really hope you are right! I do not expect it to take long for the jury to come back.

JM made Nurmi a better lawyer. He's still subpar but he's learned some new things, especially about public speaking.

Imagine the 100s of hours of legal education JM has provided the DT via his arguments in the innumerable "lengthly" sidebars JSS has allowed.

JM won an important victory on jury instructions- that mention was made of the very theoretical possibility of parole should the jury vote Life. Juries who think defendant killers are dangerous are VERY loath to take the chance of possibly setting a killer free one day.

I think he also won big when he was allowed to state that BPD is not a mental illness that would cause someone to murder another person and therefore not a mitigator. Even above the multiple objections of Nurmi. I think it might be obvious to the jury just which mitigator they are hanging their hat on, even if they claim that the only person to have diagnosed it is an inexperienced hack.
