Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 40

IIRC I heard Sheriff Joe once say that some inmates go directly from sentencing to their final destination. My guess is that it was the DP inmates would go to Perryville directly: I don't know that Death Row inmates would be hanging around Estrella for transfer. I also gather that when inmates are taken from Estrella to Perryville they generally go by the busload, DP-ers have to be transported individually?

My thoughts are complicated by the new knowledge that the sentence isn't official for some weeks until JSS has a sentencing hearing. It seems strange to me that a DP-er would hang out at Estrella for a few weeks while awaiting official sentence.

I guess we'll find out.....
It's only if the jury votes life that it takes awhile for sentencing. There's a panel that studies the case and offers JSS their recommendation. If it's DP, she's off to Perryville.

Something must have been different with this relationship, or else why are we all here? -- Nurmi #JodiArias
Yeah, the something different was the fact that she murdered TA. If he had lived he probably would have forgiven her, after she had moved on and left him alone. He never had that chance.

My biggest disappointment and shock, no matter what the verdict is, will be finding out that the Alexander family is displeased with Juan.....for whatever reason. The fact that Sky is sitting with them this morning worries me, greatly.

A tweet from this morning stated JM was sitting in the front row with the Alexander family before trial started...that speaks volumes IMHO.

Nurmi is all smiles as he walked back into the courtroom.
As Saul Goodman would say "it's showtime!" #JodiArias

Thank you Ziggy for going to court and giving us the most reliable info from the court room!!!!! [emoji322]

from Curious In Indiana's post #1964 in the previous thread:
Finally, it is over. It's done. Thank God! I am not much of a sleuther. I am just a curious reader with an opinion. I have grown to care very much about everyone on this board and will miss you all. Spring is coming! I want to be outside, enjoying my freedom (which Jodi will never have), planting and eating the veggies from my garden (which she will never enjoy), shopping with friends and stopping by Starbucks or sharing Cinnabons (which she can never partake of), laughing and watching my grandchildren live and love and play (which she will never know one thing about), spending time with my dear husband and cherishing him, our family and my friends ( which Jodi will never have), and worshipping my Lord God and Creator (Whom Jodi does not know, never knew, and never really wanted to know).
Jodi will no longer have us captivated. If she gets the much deserved DP, she will be alone for the remainder of her days in isolation. Couldn't happen to a nicer person, right? And if she gets LWOP, good luck in finding a friend there. She will die alone.

JA enjoyed her 15 minutes of fame, but as the spotlight fades she will be remembered only as a friendless, brutal killer, copy-cat & wanna-be. While the rest of the world continues on, her life is essentially over.

Travis Alexander will be remembered as a beloved, accomplished young man with goodness in his heart & much potential for the future, whose misfortune it was to have crossed paths with an evil witch.

In the end, we write our own epitaphs. Maybe JA can establish an interest in recycling in the penal system & will have actually done one good thing in her life.

Nurmi asks how do we go from a sexual encounter to a murder on same day....#jodiarias #3tvarias

The better questions is.........Why would anyone steal a .25 handgun and take a knife with them to have a sexual encounter?

Answer: She used sex manipulation one last time to get Travis off guard so she could surprise attack him.

IMO

Who's biased? Geffner or the shrink that has a part-time job testifying for the state? -- Nurmi

#jodiarias glances back at the media

Obviously, Mr Nurmi is not under oath...and accountable to ANYONE about what he says. I wish lawyers could be sued.

This may be the worst day out of both trials for me.
I really didn't think they could go deeper in the slime.

Nurmi now talking about distraction of when JA secondary gain began - when she was arrested.

I am disgusted they are blaming Travis, the victim!!!! I hope that isn't lost on the jury!
Yeah, he begins by denying they ever said Travis wasn't a good guy. Made me think that they've been told trashing the victim wasn't getting it done for them. So he attacks JM, and then proceeds to blame the victim for his own murder. Barely talks about her mitigators other than how the state lied about them. Who in their right mind thinks this is cohesive and effective strategy? JA is the only one I can come up with...

Yes, thank you Ziggy, and everyone posting tweets!
I'm wondering if Nurmi is even believing this nonsense he's spewing?

If CMJA wasn't invited by TA on June 4th her vagina couldn't have been photographed- really?! Does it abide by those vampire rules, where it can't be seen unless it's invited in by the host?
If we apply that same logic, Travis must have invited her to murder him, because that was also photographed, right? Ridiculous..I hope it sounds at foolish in person as it does here......blech!. IMO, JMO, MOO.

More from Nurmi...We are on remorse #jodiarias #3tvarias

oh this should be good...

Anyone else here think Jodi wrote most, if not all of this... or at least gave the outline to Kirk for what he is supposed to cover?

I DO!

Every single bit of it, EXCEPT the mentally ill part :giggle: Jodi wants no part of that! :giggle:

It would have been advantageous for her to tell Det. F then - but she didn't. She lied. She didn't want to talk about the truth - she was lying for Travis (like N has said everyone for the state has been)
