My two Cents, I do not believe the mystery witness is Jodi, she is the already guilty of murder charge, this is sentencing and, with the exception of this mystery witness, Jodi would (moo) most likely not be able to shut out her own testimony. Because this person's testimony followed the sex tapes I do believe it is Alyce to argue that even though Jodi was engaging in sex talk with Travis and joking about the tree tying up and other kinkiness this in no way is indicative that she is not a domestic violence survivor. They want to keep Jodi the victim and the survivor. Alyce was seriously haggard and a wreck during her testimony. Her career and expertise, and her honesty with regard to her resume was hammered by Juan. She sounded inept, was depressed etc. She probably refused to testify- maybe for mental health reasons- again and maybe was offered to do it behind closed doors, although maybe one cannot refuse to testify, I do not know . If I remember correctly, the days that Jody had witnesses supporting her she always looked nicer and chipper which is why she may have put the blazer on. Time will tell, I hope.

We know Jodi loves her ultimatums and loves to jack the system around. "I'll be my OWN attorney...ok I won't but on these conditions..." blah blah blah. It's totally her style. And it's the style of this Judge to bend over backward and sideways for her, which IMO is simply one thing: to avoid appeals (which is kind of rich to me because we all know this will be appealed for decades). Maybe it's more that she's trying to avoid being overturned in some way then ironically, makes a decision that causes her to be judged by a higher Judge. My head is spinning...

I am no longer buying the theory that JSS does this because she is trying to eliminate appeals. As you say, JA is going to throw everything including the kitchen sink into her appeal anyway.

And surely even though this is her first death penalty case as a presiding judge she has seen or been a prosecutor on a death penalty case before. If 99.99% of other Judges in the nation can preside over a DP case in an open public courtroom then there is absolutely no reason why she has to be the one that cant.

When it is all over and done with I really would like to know how much time and money has been spent due to all the secretive meetings, hearings, and all the time wasted at sidebars. I have seen many Judges deny a sidebar when asked by either side but I haven't seen one time she denied even one because all they do is rehash what was said in a sidebar they had just minutes before.

I was watching a video this morning showing Juan questioning ALV on what she thought about the fact that Travis said he was fearful of Jodi and her stalking him. ALV of course was combative, rude, snide, and non-responsive. She was trying to evade answering and Juan was not being feisty. This went on and on and on.........sidebar.......the question again.....more combativeness.......sidebar....sidebar...sidebar. Juan kept looking at JSS asking could he ask 'that' question now... which only ended in more sidebars. Then here came the infamous recess. FINALLY the Judge told her to answer the question. And this is how this entire cases has gone. The first time ALV was nonresponsive in her answer is when JSS should have told her then to answer but no it wasn't until much wasted time had passed before she spoke up and did her job.

I know I have said this case is being conducted like no other but I truly have never seen another Judge in a death penalty case or any other case for that matter act this strangely.

IMO

Twitter yes. Website trying to keep nose clean for public viewing...different story.

Twitter is public though. And they are publicly linking themselves and being VERY clear about which one they are with from what I've witnessed this morning.

Trust me, I'm right there with you obe. And that ALV mess was...just beyond. And I had to stomach it in person. just beyond.

OT: Happy Birthday KCL! I read your blog religiously and love the pics you put up along with your message. I am sure the Alexanders appreciate knowing you are sending them thoughts of support. So glad you are taking care of you.

Your tweets raise very important issues about victim's rights and survivor's rights. Thank you for using your platform to speak for thosenofnus who have been touched by senseless tragedy. Hugs to you and wishes for a great vacation and birthday!

Thank you!!! My birthday isn't til next week though but since I"ll be gone, I decided to bring it early ;) And thank you!! xoxo

I may be late to this party but I'm gonna keep questioning these rats as their ship sinks. This one wanted that hidden immediately. I wanna know why.

THE JAII site, which is very small, includes a handful of members who post 1.) in public (to keep momentum going) :floorlaugh:, and 2.) in private, in the so-called vent threads. From what we can see, there's no reason that should have been private, but it's an echo chamber in there; behavior becomes so ingrained that the poster may have thought that he shouldn't have posted it in the public portion of the site.

Yes, I agree 1000%.

JSS is assuring that 1 persons rights are adhered to while stripping away the fundamental rights of millions of citizens that are PAYING for this fiasco (and JSS's salary)...

Her need for a fair trial, which is JSS's sworn duty to provide. I have no problem with that part. I'm grateful to live in a country that protects the rights of the accused, and that forces the State to overcome huge obstacles in sentencing folks to death.

The part that bothers me is that IMO, JSS seems to have lost perspective of other equally fundamental rights..... like the right of the public and press to be present to hold her accountable.

Ok another question Hope4More: Do you believe @justice4jodiann is the same person who wrote that screenshotted post? (if this has been asked and answered please forgive my brain spin). Do you believe THAT person is in the courtroom?

Hi janx, I'm clearly out of the loop of these Cannibalistic politics which is basically what I'm naming all of it now. ;)

BOOM and that "one person" is a convicted first degree murderer who plotted then slaughtered a defenseless man in cold blood.

how could she possibly close the court for sentencing? That would not be protecting anyone's right to a fair trial as the decision would be made. It will be a whole other can of doo doo if she does that.

I am betting dollars to donuts that the press will win and the court will have to hand out the details. Never to close again!

I guess we'll know that right away if she closes the courtroom on sentencing day.

I know you were, Katie. I saw you in the video sitting with the Alexander family.:)

Bless you for being there.

Why did JA's mother leave the courtroom yesterday, ahead of this so-called mystery witness?

Jodies family was ejected from from court but Travis's family allowed to stay. This is very odd to me and I think if we figure that one out we will know who the mystery person is. jmo

The reason Travis family was allowed to stay is they are protected by law under the Victims Bill of Rights. They can stay in the courtroom no matter what.

I'm late picking up my son from school....gotta run. Hope yr around later.

I don't think there's anything odd with mom being called back. The DT was probably letting her know she'd be required to leave.

What exactly is the platform or message of the JAII and the other one? She has been found guilty. All evidence verifies she murdered TA. Are these members just anti death penalty? What is the payoff for them?

As my mother has always said, "Water seeks its own level". I would hate to think this is a group of people who justify CMJA actions. I bet they do...
