Revisiting the Hot Body Contest/"Ugly Coping"

I searched this thread for the name of the person who coined the phrase "coping ugly" and it didn't pop up, so, without reading the whole thread again, just adding in that info and some references. Sorry if already posted.

A most damning thing against KC, without question, are the photos of her dancing with another woman while Caylee was "missing". We (and anyone who has even paid the slightest attention to the case) are very familiar with those photos of KC in a blue dress, smiling and dancing suggestively with a female at a nightclub.

Recently I read an excerpt from TonE's police interview wherein he stated that KC was tipsy because he had invited her to use his "tab" for libations (presumably while he worked). He went on to add that she wouldn't have normally done that, (danced in the Hot body contest) except that she was a little drunk.

KC was not really dressed for a "hot body" contest. Her dancing partner was. KC's dress was more Target than Fredericks of Hollywood. She was dressed fairly modestly (aside from the deep low cut front).

It has been reported that KC didn't drink very often and when she did it didn't take her much to get tipsy.

Of COURSE the jury has to wonder why she wasn't looking for Caylee..but the defense may want to say that KC went into some state of "coping" (ugly or no) because she was psychically broken or whatever. Personally, I think they will plead the case out...(JB is so quiet right now!!) BUT..

I hoped we could have a discussion about the blue dress photos and whether or not you think a jury could be swayed about the photos being an isolated incident of sorts..due to her mental state and tipsy state. I know we can't "unring a bell"...but are the photos so completely damaging that we can't imagine any good defense for them...like the altered state of alcohol and a psychotic break?

I don't know about we but I can't see a good defense for them... least of all a psychotic break. A psychotic break looks nothing like that.

The photos alone with no other evidence perhaps.
But IMO the State will add the text messages she had sent people inviting them to Fusion to Party to support the photos as well as the interviews of those who she spent time with her during the time Caylee was missing.
To me it will show jurors she was more interested in helping her current boyfriend promote a party at a dance club rather than tell her family, friends or LE that her child is missing.

A girl who buys bottles or shots of liquor from the bar and walks around encouraging men (and women) to buy shots. The shot girl then pockets the profit.
Not sure the employment aspect of this job..such as who hires them and who is responsible for the shot girls, who is responsible to make sure they check the ID's of the people they sell drinks to.

It's been a minute (ahem) since I had any direct experience with "shot girls" but I do believe they come in two varieties. One is hired by the beverage company and is sent to various bars in the area to dispense shots of that particular booze. I've been at bars when the "Jager Girls" came through, with trays of Jagermeister shots and free giveaways like Jagermeister keychains or such.

The second variety is hired by the bar and totes around shots of whatever is the special of the house that night, jello shots or whatever. From what I've read, I believe this is what KC was doing, since the DJ just hooked her up to do this on the friendly. And we know KC hadn't gone through a real job interview process with a real company in quite some time.

All this time I thought it was about getting your pic taken with guys that come into the club and letting them have a copy to take with 'em so they could show their friends the hot girls who work at the club. That always sounded like a 'make it up as you go along' type of things that Cindy does. Of course, there will be no record of any type of payment or anyone who could speak about her being paid to do promos...probably another conspiracy against casey.

I found an ad online not too long ago under Clint House and shot girls in a google search. There was an ad looking for young ladies to come to a bar.......bring at least 10 friends and then they could drink for free.

It was like a promotion type of thing to get cute girls in to draw customers.....
