Is there an insurance law in Florida? If so, he COULD have gotten one for that if he didn't have proof of insurance. Another idea might be carseat, if there is a law. Unless that truck has a back seat, it would be impossible to have 2 adults and 2 children properly in their car seat in that truck. I've been trying to figure that out almost 5 years.

But, oh wait, according to MC, neither she nor he did anything wrong.


My new phrase is "Ron doesn't need anyone to make him look bad. He has Misty".

Sorry, Beatrice. If a stranger took Haleigh, LE would be out begging the public for help as others are in danger. They did quite the opposite. This is a home grown event.

Misty and rc insist the door was dead bolted. Though I know nothing about the front door, LE has stated there was no forced entry. They later added no stranger abduction.

Also, in a separate incident, Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon in a road rage incident.

No charges have been filed or arrests made in this alleged incident as of Monday morning 1/4/10.

Misty on Levi's show said he was charged with something.

That's misty, she lives in a delusional world; however, I have to admit she sounded more grounded this time. If she is left to talk freely, the lies form quickly. I can now hear the tones and voice modulation when she is starts to unravel. She has sparks of clarity but they don't last long. She likes to fill in with her own versions. She would be an interrogator's dream interview. It is a shame they can't charge her. She and rc have managed to avoid the tough interviews...grrrr. Won't happen now either unless they can come up with some evidence.

Whisp, I respect you and this was a well-written post. I actually do agree with many of the things that you say. But, I do think that doing such things as getting a diploma, a job, focusing on his son and avoiding breaking the law would help Ron mature, improve himself, avoid getting into trouble. You may be right, that he has been so coddled and not given the life guidence to even be able to do these things. I don't know the man, so I don't know if he has the gumption to improve. I guess I am ever hopeful that a life-changing occurrence such as one's child being taken would motivate one to shape up.

I believe that he obtained custody because of Crystal's drug problems and inability to even get and hold a job. This was so apparent from the custody reports and from her spaced-out TV interviews, so embarassing to even watch. Ron was the better parent of the two, sad to say. Both their families, as well as the Croslins, are filled with people with criminal records. In my family, a traffic ticket is the greatest crime and is almost unheard of, so it's hard for me to comprehend almost all someone's relatives having records. But, Ron managed to find work as a crane operator, at risk of drug testing, and to stick with it until this crime occurred. He didn't like Tommy or Nay Nay, both drug users, being around the MH or Misty & the kids. This says to me that he was trying to avoid drugs. There is no way for me to really know this, but it implies that he was trying to improve. Or at least that he knew he had a lot at stake regarding custody and that he had better improve.

It would be very helpful if LE would clarify and tell us when Ron got off work. It isn't fair to anyone who is innocent of this crime to be still under the shadow of suspicion because LE won't clear them. But I think they are so anxious to solve this crime that they don't really care about fairness to anyone but Haleigh. If their approach ends up working, even if it takes a year or more, then I guess it will prove to be worthwhile. I too doubt this poor child is alive at this point, unfortunately, although I still hope and pray that she is.

If RC wants to improve his life he should go and join the Military. It’s way past time for him to grow up and do something constructive. If he wasn’t involved in Haleigh's disappearance, then he doesn’t have anything to worry about, right? He should feel free to leave Putnam county, if they need him for any reason, they can track him down.

He has a high school diploma, and is physically fit, what’s stopping him? He should get off his grandmother’s sofa and out of her home. Pay child support for his two remaining children. Yes, Crystal has had problems, but now she is older and wiser, she has a support system, and has stayed out of trouble. Give Butterbean to his Mother. It’s time for RC to prove himself as a worthy parent, rather than a punk.

I don't know if joining the military is the answer, but being a worthy parent, DEFINITELY! Also, he doesn't need to pay child support as he has custody and CS is the one who owes support.

And I don't know if I can say CS is "older and wiser" as she has an infant child who was born with narcotics in her system.

IMO, no child has a chance with any one single person in any of these families. God help them all.

I have bad eyes. I only saw a rifle and don't know who the person holding it is. CJ was leaning over wearing a pink hat says Atherella. It appeared to me that the one in the middle had a video game thing in his hand. I wish she could give us more info on this. It was cast as if CJ had lots of guns.

On a general note, it looks like guns are rampant down there. I used to think it was bad in Iraq but now I can say Florida looks like they have just as many.

The altercation you are speaking of was at the end of October. The victim of the incident I have never seen proven as fact-just a lot of speculation. I don't know when MC went to stay with the Jones'. CJ has a gf-her myspace page says they've been together for a year. Maybe she doesn't mind sharing?

Your right-they could be fake-I'm not a gun or video game expert myself. Hubby bought a bb gun a couple of yrs. ago to scare the Canadian geese out of our yard-it is the only gun that has ever been in our house and it looks like a real hand gun. It is in the garage on a shelf-people come over, see it and think it is real "bad" weapon-lol. I laugh and ask them if they think we are stupid enough to leave a gun like that laying around esp. w/children in our home.

Oh no, Ms Twall......Misty said Ronald and CJ were friends and she doesn't know what happened, they had words when Misty and Ronald weren't speaking.
