Bolded by me.

And yet, that is what Misty told the police, and Ron went on to more or less corroborate.

Misty said she called her brother to find out why he had been calling her house all day, he told her he wanted to come over for a visit, she told him not to because it was too late, then he said he was tired of not seeing her and was coming over anyway.Ron makes a statement at the police station saying the three of them came over after Misty told them not to.
Seems like an overreaction to me to end up in jail for assault because, according to the perp's own words, they came over when they were told not to.
Lanie

Lanie, (BBM) is the part bolded by me actually what Misy said? If so, it makes me wonder why Hank Jr. had not been allowed to see Misty. I may be interpreting incorrectly here, but that is the question that came to mind.

If that is indeed true, that doesn't surprise me.. I suspect Ron C doesn't want Misty seeing or talking to anyone now other than GGMS, and TN.

Wonder if she is even allowed to visit with family and if they have friends their age that they socialize with.I haven't seen her with anyone other than him, TN and GGMS since she married him. Knowing that Ron C said he doesn't make friends or make enemies, I'm thinking they are both going to get sick of being couped up looking at GGMS real quick.. That is, if they haven't already.JMO

I wonder what Ron used to bust the window out the van with? Did he use his fist or other?
I did not read that in the report that was released yesterday, but heard it in the video report at this link: http://www.actionnewsjax.com/conten...time-since-arrest/9Ij0J9vMwku_XZLxnDEc1g.cspx
Since it wasn't in the report and it was the reporter that said it, I am not sure I believe it. You can tell by his hands it must not have been much of a fight and they sure do not show signs he broke out a window with either hand. I don't see a cut, scratch, swelling, or any redness at all.

Maybe it's just me, but I have a feeling that this altercation between the families just may shed some light on what may of happen to Haleigh or what is going on now that LE should be aware of. You know how you just get this feeling...I sure hope that the charges are not dropped and that all guilty parties serve their time. Even though I was reading yesterday that the jail there is over populated. Just maybe....this will get LE back on the case. I read today that chief investigator has changed, and is now being headed up by a deputy who was one of the first on the scene of the disappearance back on February 10th. (http://www.actionnewsjax.com/conten...-first-time-since/9Ij0J9vMwku_XZLxnDEc1g.cspx
)

Hank Croslin Jr.,
"She called me and was all crying and told me to come over and pick her up," Misty Cummings' brother, Hank Croslin Jr., told a 911 dispatcher. "And I get there, and her husband comes after me."

What reason would Hank Jr. have to lie about Misty calling him and asking him to come get her? Not only did her brother show up so did her mother and father. "IMO", the family was worried about her and feared for her safety and that is why they came over anyway. Maybe Misty never made the call to tell them not to come over, maybe she told them to leave when the got there.

Misty's Version to LE,

Misty said she called her brother to find out why he had been calling her house all day, he told her he wanted to come over for a visit, she told him not to because it was too late, then he said he was tired of not seeing her and was coming over anyway.

Ron then makes a statement at the police station saying the three of them came over after Misty told them not to. (To back up Misty's story I assume.)

:waitasec:Could it be that Misty is just telling half truths here? Could it be that something had been brewing all day and she kept calling her family looking for guidance on what to do? Then Ron finds out and goes ballistic and tells her to call her family back and tell them that everything is OK and she does but the family already knew something was seriously wrong because Misty called them crying, and told them something that LE may not of told us that could be critical in the investigation of Haleigh's whereabouts?

Or, maybe Ron was just physically/Mentally abusing Misty and she wanted out and was crying out for help from her family? It's easy to change a story a bit and maybe that is what she did and her family did not buy it, nor did LE.
The only person arrested here was Ronald C.

IMO

I don't know if Misty has stopped contact with her family but I want to say this. It didn't seem as though the Croslins went over there with the intent of calling in police, they had concerns and were addressing them without interference of LE.

Mother/father/brother must have some reason for their concern. With all the talk of known abuse of spouses I think every woman would be glad to have a brother who worried about their well being. While you all can argue the details I'm just going to say a few simple things.

If people are willing to say he should have been shot, I'll call him a hero brother. A real friend and brother would do anything for his sister, including lay down his life for her. Don't look now but there are a number of hero's whom have died by throwing themselves on hand grenades and bombs to protect others not even family members.

So Tommy, I salute you for trying because of what you perceived. Every sister should have a brother who cared as much as you.

Hey Peli, nice thoughts. I agree. I think it is all too rare any more to have someone in your corner who cares about you. Misty has a family who for all their flaws cared enough about her to go over there and check on whatever was was going on. She is very foolish to give that up. Her brother is a hero for caring about his sister in my book too.

I saw no marks on his face indicating injury or on his hands

Don't go into shock here SS....but I am going to agree with you completely. I believe that the LE report would have noted a broken window, for one thing. Secondly, it is nearly impossible to break out a car window--especially with your hands. The tempered glass takes some serious blows to shatter, even with a crow bar. Think of the recent video of bystanders trying to rescue the child from the burning car. It took MANY blows from the off duty firefighters to finally get through. In fact, there is a special tool that is made as part of a car safety kit that is designed to shatter windows in case one is trapped under water. I even agree that the pix, as far as one can determine, show little sign of injury to Ron. OK....miracle over for now!

I didn't notice too much of anything other than that one eye the photographer keeps focusing on appears to be really dilated.
Where were his sunglasses?

Emeralgem, I zoomed that video and his "eye" or should I say pupil was quite large or dilated. Just an observation, not a call of war.

I was trying to figure out why the photographer kept focusing in on it. Was certainly an odd camera angle IMO. Reminded me of the zooming in on the ringing cell phone in one of the earliest videos.

I didn't notice anything wrong with his eyes. I think the cameraman was just zooming in on the emotional moment of him tearing up. JMO I posted on the "keeping Haleigh's in the public's eye thread (new one) and told how I met a woman today who told me how her nephew had been taken but they found him 8 months later. I don't want to retype the whole thing again, you can go read it, but the bottom line was you can't wait for LE to find your child. They got involved and took action and found him in FL. He was taken from up North and a relative took him. So Ronald if you read here or someone who knows him, read the new thread. I know it's hard, but it feels better to know you are doing something, anything than nothing. Don't wait for LE to come to you, go to them and make poster, post them, mail them out, use your email. Get others involved. Call Mark Klass, but do it yourself.

I saw the posts about your experience this morning, Bern. And I remember the statement about not waiting for LE. I agree - if you love a missing person, it's up to you to seek out the information. You have to become an advocate for your missing loved one. It's good advice you've given Ron. I hope he takes it.

On the eye - I don't know what to conclude. But we've seen a lot of video with upset and emotional folks and I don't remember that camera shot being played like that, not once, but several times.

Where were his sunglasses?

Last we saw them they were on the tail gate of the red truck parked in AS's front yard. That is where the reporter said Ron left them Wednesday night.

I believe that the window was not broken out. That was false.

I posted a picture of Hank, Jr (Tommy) yesterday also. He has no injuries on his face either.

This doesn't seem like much of a fight, IMO.

If you listen to the press conference that LE held yesterday, the officer when asked about Tommy's injuries stated that they were were "minor, superficial"

(If this doesn't bring up the right video, the videos are all listed on the side of the player. It's the one that says "Ronald Cummings arrested" It is 7.24 minutes long)

So a brother who protects his sister is a hero, but a husband who protects his wife is a violent abusive man?

Her husband protecting her seems somewhat dramatic.
