But isn't the pain of childbirth the punishment brought upon us for Eve's sin?

Yes, and he cursed the ground that man shall eat by the sweat of his brow and was drove out of the garden of Eden. He also said to woman, " I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and they condeption; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Remember, there was no sin at this time. God himself visited, walked and talked with man personally then, but dis-obedience caused the punishment leading to sorrow for mankind. God said he would put enmity between man and woman. and that's how it all began. Man and woman been a fighting ever since. :woohoo:

I realize your beliefs, Kool. I was just trying to figure out how you can believe the above, but say this:

(in regard to Jeffrey Dahmer)

I know, I know, it does sound so confusing. I'm sorry. It's really not confusing once you get deep in the word of God, it does begin to make sense, even though I felt the same way at times like you. I had the same questions, then they got answered. :woohoo:

I also don't have all the answers, there's many mysteries to the Bible.

Let me say it this way, All things are accomplished according to the will of God. His will is perfected and established, all the way from the beginning of time, to the end of time. I know it's hard to understand.

All things are appointed under the sun. Yes, evil must be born too. Sadly. But remember, it's not God's will that someone chooses to be evil. Man makes that choice, not God. Man is evil, not the Lord.

I appreciate your mentioning this to me. I'm sure there are things to learn and liken to our own lives. Afterall, they are human beings, we all go through very similar experiences, round and round we go, when will it stop, nobody knows.

It stops when we begin to have our eyes and ears opened, truly opened. Seeing her life in the condition it appears to be in, sadly, somethings wrong there. I'm no expert, but I can see it. I pray for the very best for her though.

My feelings on homosexuality, I'll just say I believe in one man, and one woman, the very first institution God united and put together, modeling for us what his will is for us.

I appreciate your discussion.

If by "something's wrong there" you mean that she's bothered by something, I agree. She's very open that she battles depression and I think losing her mother at a young age is something she's never gotten over. I don't think she has much of a relationship with her father, if any, so she definitely has some old wounds. I know she dearly loves her children and Kelli and they bring her much happiness, but I think she still struggles with being a happy and content person. Just my 2 cents and I'm no shrink but there's an underlying sadness to her IMO.

I appreciate your thoughts and opinions as well.

I would ask if this is true:

And the verse goes onto say, "nor a child to be condemned for their parents sins."

How can this also be true:

Yes, and he cursed the ground that man shall eat by the sweat of his brow and was drove out of the garden of Eden. He also said to woman, " I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and they condeption; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

But I really think we'd better stop. We've not just pushed the limits, we've shoved and trampled them.

Not to mention the constant media attention, and losing her job. Stressful much?

What is that quote about the sins of parent being brought on the children?

A parent, grand parent, great grand parents sins and iniquities can be visited up to the third generation. Meaning God promises, (and it can be a blessing or a curse), but he promises you will re-visit your sin and your children, grand and great grand can be visited with your sins too. That's a good enough reason for me to repent right there.

It's called generational curses. Many people are unaware of this, never been taught. It's there though. You know that saying, it's in the blood line, well that's not scripture, but that's where it comes from.

When people say, oh they act just like their dad or mom, or grand parent, etc... sometimes, especially if their acting out very badly, generational curses could apply in that families life. Well, it is when a child grows up and committs the same sins as their forefathers and mothers.

I agree. I see hurt all over her. Makes me want to weep flat on my belly.

You know, I should probably admit... that I've never seen this tv show!
:D :D

I used to watch Rosie's show sometimes. I liked it.

I liked her old show too, and I'm sure you know by now that she was nothing like that on the View.

There's a chick lit book out now called "Little Pink Slips" that I plan to buy tomorrow. (Yeah I know, that stuff is fluff and really junk food for the brain, but with a baby, I can't devote as much time to reading as I could before, so lately I read light stuff). Anyway...it's supposedly "loosely" based on Rosie from when she owned McCall's magazine. I've heard she was a b!tch on wheels to work for.

I agree with ya. It's all there, just read. Pm me anytime, friend. Take care.

It's been a great conversation. Time to go to bed.
Goodnight all

I didn't know that!

Thanks Kool. I'm one of the few people I know that actually has read it! You and I will just have to do what we've always done-- agree to disagree :)

Well, color me gob-smacked! Our stereotype is that all Canadians are meek and polite. At least that's what the ones who move here tell us.

Welcome to WS, CS!
Thank you, Nova. We do tend to be polite, and I was considering not replying, but the blind subservience advocated by that one person needed to be denounced.

Absolutely! Two minds, two spirits of thought. I just like getting to know ya, it helps shape who I am.

Seriously, if it gets to deep in the forums, you can always pm me and get more of my over zealous opinions, but I do it with a pure heart.

Most children who have lost their parents have lifelong issues.

Having lost my husband in an automobile accident in 1992, the father of my then almost 4 year old daughter, unfortunately I have some expertise in this area.

They don't have to grow up with the issues being a negative force for them. I managed to raise my daughter, I give all the Glory to God, (I wasn't even walking with him close at the time, but was a blind blind believer).

She and I could have experienced alot of problems, especially when you have outsiders (that includes meaning well family members who do damage) interjecting their mis-informed thoughts and views as only they know on the premise of being helpful, because basically they can't handle or know what to do with the issues. It caused me alot of grief, had they just left me alone and let me deal with it, but oh well, I'm over that hurdle.

Children have such a forgiving resilient spirit, only til this world re-shapes and molds them do they change into problematic people with problem filled lives having let the world shape who they are when they could of had Divine protection from the forces we really battle with, which is not of this world but of principalities, prince of the air and darkness, etc...

The death of a parent is an ever lasting tragedy, but it doesn't have to end up being a train wreck. I still battle with some rebellion from Haylee due to this very thing, in my opinion. Only now do I know the Lord had his hand on Haylee and I the whole time, never once forsaking us, even when I was soooooooo blind and hurt. My pain and suffering could have been reduced by mountains had I known him more intimantly, but he has quickened my healing and understanding, and gave me back the wasted time I spent in the dark abyss of this tragedy. Only God can give you back and restore time.

I use to believe I would never really know the woman Haylee would have grown up to be had her father lived, but now I know to ask God to shape her into her purpose according to his will, which basically undoes what this world and circumstances have caused.
