Wow It looks to me that Florence County is about an hour away from Myrtle Beach and Horry County police are on the scene. Could this finally be Heather?

Autopsy at MUSC. DNA testing at MUSC.

Skeletal remains have been found near the riverbank of the Great Pee Dee River. ..preliminary results from an autopsy will be available tomorrow.

Search teams are focusing on the riverbank, now more than before, because water levels are ten feet lower than in the past searches.

The remains found this morning were found by campground workers. This area is a few miles downstream from the Cashua Ferry Road where Angie's remains were reportedly dropped off the bridge. With the river going down so much, this could be Angie! :please:

See my comments on Angie's thread. This sounds like it could be her.

This story was covered on WBTW's 6PM broadcast yesterday. The reporter was standing in front of a gate on a dirt road. She said it was muddy and she had to park and walk 3 miles to get to that point. It was not known if the remains are male or female. WBTW then discussed the Angie Pipkin and Heather Elvis cases briefly including mug shots of the accused in each case.

It certainly sounds like she's the most likely possibility.

This link below says:

Search crews have searched the Great Pee Dee River in Darlington County several times for her body. Police say their investigation has led them to believe that Robinson dismembered her body and dumped her there.

The remains were uncovered during excavation work on the property.

Their investigation says dumped in the river, but these remains seem to have been buried...

The river has dropped about 10 feet in recent weeks. Perhaps the remains were partly under debris left behind on the bank as the river went down.

Been watching all day for the results of the 'autopsy'. I hope they can determine if the remains are male or female.

Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken said the autopsy was complete Thursday. "We are fairly certain we know who the person is, but we can't release that information yet," he said.

Horry County spokesman:
"Nothing is assumed and we can't if the remains belong to the missing person," he said. "Right now it is Florence County's case and if it is determine that it is our missing person, the case will be transferred to us."

Sounds like they weren't really considering this could be Heather even from the beginning (based on wording in first report). Leads me to believe they know what happened to her and that they don't even have hope her body will be recovered. Just my opinion/interpretation!
