Awesome find, Autumndreams!

And mouse, I agree with you...I think it will become a cold case. And sadly, I think there is some law enforcement incompetence to blame. I have been thinking all along that they must know a lot more than what they have released to the public, but after reading the police report I have changed my mind.

I agree! If they spoke with the girls and the girls had changed hotels. HELLO ALARM BELLS! Go find them and bring their little arses in for questioning. They know something. No one would get a new hotel when their friend is missing.

I honestly think they thought this was a runaway case, and they have now lost evidence that could've led to finding Brittanee. Sadly I don't believe they gave this case their all. Now they will have to live with the thought that their actions may lead to this never being solved.

Like i was saying in an earlier post..

I think MBPD is not doing a good enough investigation. I mean come on... you questioned those girls for how long 2 mins??

All this has been discovered in previous threads. Is there any NEW news? That didn't sound nice and it wasn't intended that way but everything that is being discussed has already been discussed lots so im just curious if there is anything new?

Dinner to Help Fund Search for Missing Chili Teen

That's all i could find.

Its good to see her community having these fundraisers so Dawn can stay in MB and search. Its got to be expensive staying away from home and not being able to work. Bills continue no matter who is missing.

OMG! I dont know if anyone has seen this i am guessing with all the questions that have been flying around here about when the girls moved hotels and if the police talked to them in person or on the phone and what times blah blah ..... YOU all need to look at this and i am saving it to a folder .. i suggest you save it too.. in case it comes up missing. Police Report.. http://blogs.discovery.com/files/drexelreport1.pdf

Yeah 8pm last contact she was just getting to PBs then. No way. Also, if you noted the LE had to call the traveling companions. So yes they were long gone at that point

"Oberer said she last heard from Drexel, via text, about 8:45 p.m. In that message, Drexel told Oberer that she was on her way back to the motel."

Right there... they tell news reporters 8:45 ... but first told police last contact was 8:00pm !!

Friends of Brittanee Drexel weren't immediately concerned that the 17-year-old didn't return to their Myrtle Beach hotel Saturday night. The group had gone their separate ways for much of their stay last week in South Carolina.

Later, around 2 or 2:30 a.m. Sunday after she didn't return phone calls or text messages, her friends grew concerned, said Jenn Oberer, 20, of Chili, who traveled to South Carolina with Drexel last week.

"We're now thinking that the worst happened to her," she said.

I like the article stating the group had gone separate ways for much of their stay, except we know this isn't true from all the pics together in hotel rooms, parties with the guys, and also the Club K pics.

Also JOs statement after 3 days "we're now thinking that the worst happened to her" all I have to say is she is the meanest b---ch. Wow

I'm sorry but I never saw a post with the actual police report and with myself and a few of others questioning for exact times and if the girls left did leave for a fact the on the 25th or if it was the next morning.

So, far the only thing that i had seen was speculations from news reporters.

So, this was new news at least for me and maybe for some others that have not seen it.

Did the police really question them on the phone or in person.. it was done on the phone. WHY?

Also, remember someone asking what kind of anti-depressant meds she was taking. And the report says it.

Why did they tell the police they last heard from her at 8pm and tell reporters 8:45?

I think what the hold up here is, is the fact there is no proof a crime was committed: a body or blood evidence. As far as interviewing them on the phone, I would hope that MB police had NY police interview them in person. I believe I read where PB went to the police station.

I am wondering if this is the guys saying they last saw her at 8pm and then Jen saying she last heard from B at 8:45.

We are coming up on the one month mark of Brittanee missing. There doesn't seem to be anything more than there was the days following her initial disappearance. I truly believe that the cell phone pings were a distraction .

Don't be sorry,i should have worded it a little different so it didn't sound so bad. There are 4 threads for B and in mostly 1 and 2 is where everything was found. There are several of the police reports posted and i don't blame you for not taking the time to read all through the threads,it's alot. I guess i along with others want to hear something new on this case and hoping it dosen't grow cold.

I can't believe that in almost a month that it's gone no where. To me it seems there are so many unanswered questions, so much more they could do. I don't understand how it can be at a stand-still and the searches have been called off!
I could not imagine if B was my daughter. I would be fuming and I would be knocking on doors of these other children (I avoid using the word teen because even a 10 year old has more common sense than these girls (especially) put together) and demanding answers to every question I had and I would be asking them in different ways time and time again to see if they screwed up.
Also, if I was especially JOs mom, boy would I be embarrassed for the way she has acted towards this entire situation. You can bet that if I was her mother, she would be regretting it. I would take away her cell phone, computer, everything and make sure she helps without getting any story straight with anyone.

Sorry to ramble!

Rant on : This case is so bizarre to me. This poor girl has been missing for nearly a month now and I can find almost nothing new on the search for her. The national media, IE Nancy Grace, Greta have basically ignored this story.

This is a major story in my mind! Remember the coverage of Natalee Holloway(sp?)? It was non-stop every night. I believe if the media would start putting some heat on these players from Rochester someone might crack. As of now they have all gone on with their self-absorbed lives and basically forgotten Britt. The attitudes of some of those girls make me want to slap the snot out of them.

Rant off

I am hoping that the influx of tourists, boaters, golfers, ect to MB this holiday weekend will lead to discovering Britt's whereabouts. This case is sad because her friends and LE don't seem to give a flip. Her poor mom. I can't imagine what she's going thru trying to find her daughter against all odds.

Not sure if that has been noted yet, but on that report it shows that her birthday is 10/7, but on brittylush's MS people are wishing her happy bday in late April.

??

Yeh...we have discussed this previously. Like we mentioned though it also said that she is 21. You can enter in whatever information you want in there. I have a niece that put she is 82!

I am hoping Brittanee will be found, alive and well.
But I wanted to comment on news media:
Brittanee's mom and dad were on Dr Phil.
Britanee's mom was on Nancy Grace.
And on morning news shows.
I am unsure if she was on Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell.

I think the media has done a good job of covering Brittanee's disappearance.
Sadly, there is always another missing child.

CG, I agree on the slapping the snot out of those girls. I want to add that boy too, (PB) if you don't mind. I can understand your frustration, I feel it too many times over in different cases of missing children. I could count off on my hand more than a dozen I am/have been following closely over the years and there is little to no coverage on those children.

I have to agree with Dreamweaver, that although Brittanee's coverage has slowed to a trickle in comparison to other very high profile cases, she is getting some media attention from her parents activities (thank goodness).

Some interesting statistics from NCMEC:

Every year in America an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing, more than 2,000 children each day. Of that number, 200,000 are abducted by family members, and 58,000 are abducted by non-family members. The primary motive for non-family abductions is sexual. Each year 115 children are the victims of the most serious abductions, taken by non-family members and either murdered, held for ransom, or taken with the intent to keep...

Just looking at those numbers tells us that Brittanee, even though the coverage isn't enough for those of us that have taken her disappearance to heart and are praying for her return is actually getting a lion's share of media coverage.

Keep up the good work CG. Keep following her story. She and her family need others that will keep their eyes open, their hearts full of prayers, and a possible nudge now and then to the media when they start to lapse in coverage. God Bless you ~Kat~

Thanks, yes you and dreamweaver make good points. I guess I just want this girl found and that plus my frustration level with the kids makes me want to get involved personally(which I obviously can not do).

Hopefully something will break soon
