I hope so. My concern is that Heather's location is one that could make it extremely difficult to find or recover her.

If LE would just release that they have a POI, or suspect(s), then I/we could go to town on brainstorming possible locations based personally on the perp(s).

Yes, "stale" seems to sum it up at this time ! Praying more will be revealed !!!

I remember back when LE had publically stated Scott Peterson wasn't a suspect in Laci's disappearance. Sometimes I wonder even when information is released, how reliable is it really?

Funny you mentioned SP. I've been thinking how this case possibly has an SP "vibe". It wouldn't surprise me if someone is found fleeing, with bleached hair.

JMO he was a gift to LE, the more he talked, etc...they needed him to keep on digging his grave, so to speak.

But yeah, LE can pretty much say what they want. And their saying nothing does not necessarily mean they are on top of a case, nor does it mean they are flummoxed/stuck...no way of knowing which if either is true.

That's my worry. She may never be found.

Or if she is, statistically it will more likely be by chance, than by LE or searchers. The best hope for LE to find her is if they have, or come across ping or video info of a POI, or a confession.

EXACTLY.

and exactly!

Get out of my head!

Can you point me to the place where he said it, I've gone back over a few articles now--the more detailed ones--and what happened to the car after he unlocked it is not mentioned.

I've gone over 40 articles and can't find it..going to look over early posts to see if they are linked

Thank you! I have been looking as well and cannot find anything.
I really think that we got that info from a person posting here and a lot of those posts have been deleted. I guess because they weren't verified? And a lot of people were stating the info (the person provided) as fact.
It was early in the case and it just kinda stuck with everyone. It (TE driving the car home) keeps getting repeated and I am trying to find a good source to verify it so we can say it is indeed a fact.

But this is the original report according to the time and details. So, it appears the call came in for an abandon call, but turned out to be a missing person. When they got to the police station, the abandon car call was filled out was filled out as a missing person and later closed. This is typical to get a call for one thing, but fill out the report for another. What I am confused about is why the report is closed. I checked several databases and don't see her missing in any. I know they aren't always accurate, but just wanted to mention that is well.

I find it odd that a police report of a suspicious car is made and no mention of who removed the car.

Yes, but that doesn't mean it would be public information. Also, many girls would not go for treatment for this under their parent's insurance. Planned parenthood, or similar agencies, are available in SC, I'm assuming.

No, not public info but known to the parents as they get the bill for co pays etc from the doctors and hospital. I was referring to the parents, sorry for not making that clear. I guess we have been assuming a lot on this case because of the lack of public information and this would be one more assumption that she didn't use the parents insurance.

Put it this way (and, I've had this conversation with myself and others)... if you were taken to an empty car of a close loved one by a cop, wouldn't you completely panic and freak out? Or, would you simply dismiss it as an ordinary, everyday situation?

I know if it were me, I sure as heck wouldn't touch the car and would be extra precocious not to step on any tire tracks or footprints. Then, I would make damn sure that the Officer contained the area until their forensic team was called in. I surely wouldn't have threw my hands up in the air and drove the car home!

maybe I wouldn't have before this case, but I have two teenagers and I will always be mindful of this now

I really do not think that comment she made meant she was pregnant...if anything, maybe that she was "attracted" to the male she was mentioning around the same time, who seems to be married guy, IMo.

I can't find anything either.

Somewhere during the previous threads, somebody found a post where the rumor might have started, but one of the verified insiders refused to confirm it or deny it. eta: But right now I can't even find that post. I think you might be right about posts being deleted.

So something's up with the car and I don't think it's that her father drove it home. I think they (LE) want to keep it really hushed up.

And all of us don't know how to do all of those things. Some are stronger in one area while others handle the other areas. We're working as a group. Imagine if we had all relevant information applicable to a case.

Instead of spending countless hours hypothesizing or going down a wrong path, we could concentrate on theories that fit in with the most recent facts applicable to the case. Collectively we spend more time on a case than one LE office can imo. Too bad we can't truly efficiently be of help.

Thank you!

Woe - Sticky this one too!

Keyword - teamwork. We are all good at something. I know we can help.

What IS needed to be sleuthed, and what are the facts that we know, so we can help Heather come home?

Has anyone determined a geographical radius of where Heather may be, based on searches, door-to-door canvassing and any other facts currently known?

What is a reasonable radius?

I agree with you, Clu, that that comment was a joke. But, I do think it's a possiblity that it could have happened later. Nearer to when she disappeared. Just another theory, not something I'm leaning toward as a probability.

Too much time passed before she was reported missing, IMO, to make a good estimate. The perp may have even moved her, once he realized no one knew she was missing on Wednesday and into Thursday. Also, there does not seem to be a solid sighting and time as to when the truck was parked at the landing. JMO
