Crazy thought here.... Anyone familiar with Rachel.... Ooh, I can't think of her last name. She was an informant for Tallahassee police department and was killed doing a deal. I know this thought is totally out there, but....

I have this feeling of an impending resolution. I don't think it will be a positive one, but I feel like something is about to happen.

Me too... especially now that Nancy Grace is involved... already more detail than we have had ... she says it was a Mexican restaurant.

" ABC News Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross examines the latest in the case of Rachel Hoffman, who was murdered while on a sting as a confidential informant in Tallahassee, FL.

Follow BrianRoss on Twitter

Since a "20/20" investigation into her murder, the Florida legislature passed "Rachel's Law," a confidential information safety act that requires law enforcement to take into account someone's age and maturity, emotional state and the level of risk a mission would require before sending them out on a sting. Under the law, police cannot promise an informant more lenient treatment, as they did with Hoffman.

HE covered tonight & BD on Friday.

From this link:

"The search for 20-year-old missing person Heather Elvis is going national.

CNN and HLN talk show host Nancy Grace will broadcast a segment tonight about Elvis, who has been missing for nearly three weeks.

The broadcast comes one day after an online petition at change.org asked for people to urge HLN and "Nancy Grace" to feature Heather Elvis.

Waccamaw Publishers has been invited to participate in the broadcast.

The "Nancy Grace" program airs tonight at 8 p.m., according to the HLN website."

Also from this link:

""Urgent: A 20-year-old woman mysteriously vanishes without a trace -- her car found abandoned near a boat landing. The search for missing Heather Elvis ramping up as dozens of volunteers hack through thick underbrush with machetes. Tonight, Nancy Grace speaks to the missing woman’s parents as they urge anyone with information to come forward so they find out what happened to their missing daughter," reads a statement on the Nancy Grace page posted to the HLN website."

ABOUT DARN TIME!

<Thank you NG for bringing attention to Heather's case---<hopefully you won't be as abrasive and brutally distasteful this time as you were in Jessica Ridgeway's case.> jmo.

*looking back on it, she was right....I just couldn't handle the truth. :(>

"Elvis, 20, was dropped off at her River Oaks apartment sometime between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Dec. 18 after returning home from a date, according to an Horry County police report.

The report said her car, a 2001 Dodge Intrepid, was in her driveway Dec. 18. when her date dropped her off. It was found Dec. 19 at the Peachtree Boat landing, about six miles south of her apartment."

Well, that confirms that she never took her car to her date. I think there was discussion over it in an earlier thread. Also if she arrived around 2AM from her date she was most likely at home when she posted on tumblr from 1:53 until 2:09, unless she hauled out the door right after arriving.

Mods, I think??? we can copy and paste from MSM fb? If not, I apologize, please delete.

"A 20-year-old student & R&B restaurant hostess heads out on a romantic date, dining at a Mexican restaurant. Like any young girl would do, she immediately comes home to call her girlfriend to gush about her romantic date. But that was the last time anyone has heard from Heather Elvis. As the desperate search heats up by the minute, I’m speaking with the missing 20-year-old’s parents in hopes of cracking the case wide open & bringing home their young daughter safe and sound. The clock is ticking and we need your help. What do you think happened to Heather Elvis? #FindHeather www.HLNtv.com/Nancy

Contrary to what some of you believe, Law Enforcement here is quite capable of handling this situation. They are not the Keystone Cops :)

Don't you think with all the time that has passed and the several discoveries of skeletal remains LE should have done some type of presser, rather than total silence? Surely there is something they could have updated the community on. And for Mr. Elvis to be so distraught it seems to me that LE isn't very close to solving this...just my honest opinion. I pray for answers for the family soon!
