WOW.

I must be getting old because I had no idea what a "Vine" was. Is it just me or are there too many SM sites to choose from these days.

I just stumbled over a "Vine" and "Tumbled" onto "Facebook" only to find out that someone sent me a "Twitter" which made me "Flick" an "Instagram" over to "Photobucket" and then I saw myself on "Youtube".

All this made me drink a "Pint" and then I fell on the floor "Googling" in "Myspace". :floorlaugh:

Thanks for making me literally LOL

Okay, here's the deal. We are going to reopen the thread. The police report can be discussed, but NO NAMES, NO REDACTED INFORMATION, NO PERSONAL INFORMATION.

No talking about wives, ex's, employment, etc. unless you have a link that is NOT RELATED to the police report.

This is going to require restraint and cooperation on everyone's part. It if becomes too difficult, we will close the discussion.

MSM released the report and they can't take it back now. But that doesn't mean this is a free for all. We need to be respectful of LE's investigation and unnamed POIs/suspect. Given that LE has NOT named ANY POI/Suspect - you may NOT consider anyone mentioned as such.

If you have questions or concerns, pm me or Imamaze or any mod. Don't post it in the threads. And don't post anything you are unsure about. Use restraint and common sense, okay?

Salem

I'm bumping this. We have zero tolerance. Don't discuss things you learned from sleuthing redacted names. If you go there, you will find yourself outside looking in.

Restraint is needed. We know you are all smart as the dickens. But you are going to have to keep some of that to yourself. You cannot post it on this very public forum.

What do you make of someone who declares on their SM page they are in a relationship but less than 2 weeks later goes on a first date?

Her FB says she's in a relationship with a female friend, which is fairly common for younger girls/women to pretend to be married to or dating a friend. I don't think she was ACTUALLY "in a relationship" with the person listed on her FB page, it's just a fun thing they like to do.

Jenna
Regarding the whole "relationship" thing on Facebook, I have seen many young people be in a "relationship" which is "friendship" (yes, that is a relationship, go figure....). Or just put down they are in a relationship because it's funny or keeps some creep at bay or they were bored that day. My daughter's "friends" exaggerate, pretend that their life is SOOOO much better than everyone elses, make big deals out of things that were nothing (but that is sometimes just standard "I don't know any better so everything is angst ridden"), post in a way that they think makes them look "grown up" () , and downright lie on their Facebook posts (one of the reasons my daughter only used her account regularly for about 4 months before becoming disillusioned and resorting to corporeal friends). It is always funny when I ask them about one of their posts, and they wonder why I know that because I don' t have a FB account (Because you aren't set to PRIVATE, Stupid)

I see there is another Twitter account that is locked down(unusual as it is the only SM of hers that is ) Also her friend that she converses about the married guy with has her account locked also... I would think LE would be interested in that conversation...imo

I was being sarcastic to the above rule breaking post from another member

I thought so, but I see I'm not the only hoping it was true...we're all ready for that to happen!

153 people on this thread right now. Most I've seen up to this point.

Salem, I'm probably towing the line here, and I promise I'm not trying to be difficult, but as I interpret the above guideline, posting how to access the unredacted version would be okay. Discussing it would not be okay. Is that true?

ok found it thanks....

What about a room in the parking lot like TP SM? (Just an idea...)

my wife and I have separate FB pages and except for pictures of my daughter, house, vacations(of which neither one of us are in the pictures) you wouldn't know we were married to each other, LOL.

Same here, and we each have life long friends (we're old) of the opposite sex that we interact with on a regular basis. Nothing to hide from each other, but we do have opposite points of view on many things and very different interests. We're retired and FB gives us the opportunity to socialize from our rockers :HHJP:

I have no knowledge of what was being said earlier, but hope I can help with the general question regarding joint FB accounts.

Speaking as a member of another community I am (sadly) a member of, it is recommended by therapists and those who have been there/done that with an unfaithful spouse that the *remorseful* wayward husband/wife deletes their social media and creates a joint account to foster a) openness and trust and b) to remove any temptation from engaging with poor boundary behaviors online.

Of course this is my perspective, in answer to a question posted earlier. It is MOO and JMO.

As everyone on this site knows, infidelity can lead to horrific things happening, which is why I emphasized the *remorseful* above. I cannot comment on anything outside of that.

NO - it would not be okay. LE redacted the document for a reason. Telling others, on our forum, how to circumvent, is not LE friendly and WS is LE friendly.

And honestly, the very last thing anyone on this forum would want to do is interfere with LE's investigation, which could result in delaying Heather's home coming.

I saw that, too, and was so frustrated! Of all the things to be set to private...

I imagine LE has been all over HE's social media & has likely spoken to anyone that piqued their interest (for info, not as POIs). Hopefully, HE's roommate & friends had useful info for LE.

You know...it might end up being HE's social media & social interactions/conversations that have left a trail of clues leading to her (I hope) eventually being found. A couple of her tweets struck me as eerie & made my blood run cold -- in hindsight.
