After today's testimony from Alex, I'm thinking his pills may have played a bigger part than I thought before. I think there was some truth in what he was saying about his timing for going down to the kennels.

Alex said that Paul left while he and Maggie were finishing dinner. Then after they ate, Maggie asked Alex to go to the kennels with her. He said no because he didn't want to get hot after he'd just showered so Maggie went without him. Then he admitted that within minutes of Maggie leaving, he changed his mind and left for the kennels.

What if Maggie and/or Paul found a stash of pills while Alex was showering and removed them without him knowing. Then when Maggie left for the kennels, he went for his pills. Minutes later, when he realized they were missing, he went in to a rage, hopped on the golf cart and went to the kennels to get them back. He may have confronted Paul and killed him because he was furious his pills were missing. He was furious with Maggy too. That may explain why he admitted he tried to turn Paul over (because he was looking for his pills).

I just don't see this at all. I don't think either would *sandbag* the head of the house..knowing what his reaction might be. He set them up for the kennel massacre.

I'm guessing you meant 'turn over Paul' rather than 'run over Paul'?

I remember hearing it somewhere believable that he tried to 'turn' over Paul but can't think of the source at this moment. I think Alex may have stated that during one of his interviews, either in the car or LE office.

I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

Do people snort opioids? If so, I wonder if that's what all the snorting and sniffing was in the interviews.

It’s fake. You have to tune everything out and focus on just his face & so called emotions. It’s a contrived mechanism to appear upset but it’s sporadic in his case because he forgets to keep it going.

Sniffling is a result of snorting but I was told if he has been clean for 500 days it wouldn’t be lingering to this degree.

I'm watching the redirect right now, and they put up a text from Paul that says his feet are swollen and he wants an appointment. So isn't Alex lying about Paul resisting getting a doctor?

I think what Waters was trying to get at when asking what they talked about at supper, is that they may have well been talking about Alex's pill problem. But Alex wants to say they were only talking about Paul's feet.

I got this too. Your son asks for an appointment and you're sooooo concerned about his feet - but I'd bet $10 to a doughnut NO appointment was ever made.

I think AM INterchanges the word "They" with "I".

As in:
They planed this for a long time.
They hated Paul.
They tried to shoot me.
They did him so bad.

There is no they. It's him.

Most criminals think they've planned to the Nth degree. How was it poorly done? He may well get away with it, still. If so, his best was good enough.

Respectfully, why does the day matter? He had made up his mind, needed to get them both to Moselle, that day worked out.

I don't need an immediate trigger in this case - but I do think that if MM and PM had returned the pills to AM, this might not have happened. He's an addict of historic proportions.

I think the trigger was that morning: testimony of Jeanne Seckinger of his law firm..the CEO: she confronted him about missing money from settlements at the firm THAT MORNING. she said he was annoyed and hostile, something along those lines. since his father was very ill, (he got a phone call about him and then he became passive) and her long term relationship working with him, she said they would continue the conversation at a later date (because of his father). then that nite MM and PM are shot dead. Coincidence?
